PLB12M 12mm 1/2" 120V AC LED Metal Signal Indicator Pilot Dash Light (Green)

Works great on my wife’s box freezer. The little power lite burn out. Simple replacement, two wires only to hook up. Happy wife, Happy Tatay.

Light is well made. Glad I ordered the larger light. Comes with a sealing O-ring for weather protection.

Light is bright when on; however, it still has a dim glow when off. So it sometimes looks like it is on when it is not. Mildly annoying.

This is a good light, and I am happy with most all the Alpinetech products I’ve purchased over the years. That said, this is the first amber light of this size that I’ve purchased, and it is not very bright. It works for it’s intended use, but one almost has to stand by it and cup it if there is much ambient light in the area.

Used a 1/2 inch knockout seal. Wired to incoming utility power to know when power was restored after power outage.

I have used Alpine LEDs before. I think that they use the same chip in all lens sizes. Thus a smaller lens better focuses the limited amount of light and produces a brighter appearance. This unit uses a larger diameter lens and it is marginal even for indoor use. Outside would require one to shade it with their hand to determine if it was on. Not worth returning, so I'll find a use for it.

I utilized this lamp as part of my home electrical panel//generator system. My 12K portable generator runs the entire electrical panel during power outages when needed. I live out in the sticks however, so I can't tell if the normal utility power has been returned without some sort of lamp tied to the incoming line of the panel.I mounted this lamp in a box above my generator monitoring gages. When the lamp is lit, it's time to shut down the generator. Very handy indeed, and all that's required for mounting is a 1/2" hole drilled through your mounting surface.
