It does work for my watches and sunglasses tinkering. With that said it's not as magnetized as I'd like. May be my own fault for purchasing mid winter, extreme cold (during shipment) can reduce magnetic quality. Recommend purchasing during warm months and you may have better results. Still works for my usage keeping tiny screws in one place.

This keeps my screws from spilling out all over the place, and that's really a great thing if before you found yourself searching for screws a lot. The things tend toward falling and bouncing all over and landing in a nook or a cranny somewhere where you will never see them again. That life is over for me now as this mat keeps my screws on lockdown. I can't recommend it enough if you work with little screws, but it doesn't have to be screws, but anything made of metal, really. Other mats that are branded cost more but I don't see the point in paying more when this guy works great. Just get it.

I gave this item five stars because if used properly its perfect. I however tried to use it to hold spice jars but the magnet isn't strong enough. The conversion chart is handle and we just the mat for a quick view shopping list. I write down what we need and snap a pick on the way out the door. Cells phones are convenient but sometimes you need to write things down.

Great for labeling and putting screws on to not lose them.

Bought this to help keep my parts sorted and my iFixIt mat wasn’t quite enough.The IFixIt mat is thicker, with better magnetism, but also costs over twice as much.This one is significantly larger, the magnetism is good enough for all the small parts and springs to keep them from rolling away. It’s less then 50% as thick and prone to warping but it is shipped in a flat package so it’s not much of an issue.I’ll buy another one of these over the iFixIt.

FOR MANY YEARS ONE OF THE TWO CARS IN THE GARAGE HAVE HAD THE DOOR SCRATCHED AS THE ADJACENT CAR DOOR IS OPENED. AT LAST THE DOOR IS PROTECTED BY THIS MAGNETIC MAT, JUST HAVE TO REMEMBER TO REMOVE IT WHEN BACKING UP THE CAR. IT PROBABLY WOULD STAY IN PLACE WHEN DRIVING AROUND TOWN. THE PERFECT SOLUTION TO AVOIDING A SCRATCHED UP OR DING ON THE CAR DOOR.
