Great product, all stainless steel, no leaks.
Whole house filtration. Great design. Worth the money, buy it once, and done. I have installed ten polycarbonate-bodied filters in 40+ years. They all leaked. Use stainless steel fittings when installing. Filter cartridge(AP17) will last 1+ years in average use. Use O-ring grease when replacing cartridge.

Excellent water filter for the whole house water filter housing
This whole house water filter is easy to slip into the water filter housing. I like the two pack so that I always have a spare to use the next time the filter needs to be replaced, versus having to order a new one everytime.

Works well, water tastes good and is easy to install. I use subscribe and save every 6 months but the price is still high and the reason for the 4 star rating.

No Valves, No Leaks
I have had two plastic whole house filters, the kind with the on/off valve on the top. Both eventually began leaking, creating a mess. This filter housing is heavy duty and has no valves. Time will tell if it remains leak free, but the simple design should help.December 2024 Update: changed the first cartridge. Very easy to unscrew with a strap wrench (tool provided could not really be used due to the way my plumber mounted it on an existing wall bracket). I used an Aqua Pure 110 replacement and it was a bit too tall at 10 inches, actually had to cut a little off of the top. I believe the OEM AP110 is actually 9.75 inches. Just hand tightened, no leaks.
