Using this off and on has prevented me from contracting Strep Throat from my son. He's a young kid, so naturally I'm in contact with his cooties. It's also prevented me from getting the flu from my wife. I also gave my children a few days worth of this product, and they never contracted the flu either. I've also used it when I've been in close contact with sick people, where otherwise I'd be pretty much guaranteed to get sick, and I never got their colds. I will say that the "This product is not intended for continual use" warning is a bit concerning, especially with no follow-up explanation. Will you turn blue? I don't know... It's my intention to continue to use this product in short bursts when I'm in close contact with someone sick, or when I am already feeling sick, because it's proven itself to me on over a dozen different occasions that it does prevent me from getting sick. It's flavor is odd, maybe a little metallic, which makes sense. I like to chuck it into my morning coffee, or even flavored juice drink. Swigging it down by itself is a bit rough. I've found that 2-3 days once or twice a day use following a known illness exposure is sufficient, so this lasts quite a while. My main complaint is the warning. But I can attest that even using this in short bursts, it is much more potent in my opinion than other brands. I've tried Sovereign Silver, MesoSilver, and Results RNA, all with minimal to zero results. None of those ever prevented me from getting sick, nor helped to relieve many of my cold symptoms any better than plain ol' time. This is the one product that I've found prevented me from getting sick. It's done so well, in fact, that I can't comment on if it helps me get over sickness faster than normal, because I haven't gotten sick... One last thing I'll mention is it's topical healing abilities as well. I've also used Sovereign Silver, MesoSilver, and Results RNA, all for things other than colds/flus. From cuts on my hands, ear and nose infections, as well as burns, overall I've found all of these products to be pretty ineffective. This is the one brand that I've found really speeds-up topical wound healing. I've used it on cuts and scrapes, and noticed a marked improvement overnight using this instead of antibiotic salves, like Neosporin. I've not been able to use it with nose/ear infections because I haven't gotten sick. I can comment on burns, because my son recently burned his palm touching a hot pizza pan fresh out of the oven. Overnight with a band-aid soaked in this stuff, his burn was gone in the morning. It did stain his hand yellow for a day, but that wore off by the end of the evening.

I've been using this product for about 5 years now & wanted to leave a few tips for others who haven't tried it yet. When I first purchased this silver it was because of a severe infection in my gums that I wanted to get rid of without having to see a dentist for antibiotics. Unfortunately the infection was too severe & I ended up needing the antibiotics anyways (but they took forever to start working on the pain, swelling & soreness so I used a few drops 3 times a day on my gums to help heal the infection faster & it worked). I've used this while pregnant (do your own research before you use this while pregnant-I did mine & found it totally safe) to stop an infection in my gums from getting bad, which did help it go away because I started the drops in time. I have even used this in my ear for an ear infection that cleared up nicely within a few days. You can use this on cuts, sores, burns, ear infections, mouth sores, to build your immune system. After years of researching the benefits of this product I will say that it is safe to use in small amounts (you won't turn blue), but do your own research before using or trusting any new product. Every body is different & our bodies will let us know what is safe & what isn't so listen to your body when using anything different or new. I personally will keep using this product because it has worked so well for me over the years. I just ordered another bottle because of an infection in my gums that the antibiotics are taking long to help heal. I noticed that using the drops help to speed up healing, which is great for me because the pain of a gum infection is horrible! *6/24/16 Update This bottle is still in my medicine cabinet for when there is a reason to use it. I still use it for light scratches, small cuts and when ever I get an infection in my gums (along with antibiotics) and for colds. It tastes a little strange but if you mix it in with juice or a flavored water then the taste isn't noticeable. I want to mention that Colloidal Silver isn't a miracle in a bottle and won't cure everything. Sometimes we need a doctor when we are very sick and sometimes we are able to use natural ways of healing our bodies from what makes us sick. I personally am not a fan of Big Pharma and do not like doctors at all, so natural and holistic remedies are my first choices- but even I have to keep in mind that there are some things that do need actual medicine to treat.

I knew colloidal silver was a great thing to have on hand - gargle with it for a sore throat, either put drops or mist it in your nose at the beginning of cold symptoms, use it on cuts and scratches so they are infection free, stop cold sores by using it at the first "tingling/burning" at the site. What I didn't understand was that the effectiveness is determined by the number of 'ppm'. I originally order a bottle of 30 ppm, used it when I felt the start of a cold sore, and nothing happened. I also gargled with it for a sore throat, but it didn't stop it, so I did some research and found that 30 ppm isn't strong enough to do what I was trying to accomplish. When I found this 500 ppm item, I ordered it to see if there was a difference in the results of using it. I initially used it on a cut on my leg from a really dirty piece of tin that had been lying around. I was concerned about infection, but the cut wasn't deep enough to need a doctor's attention. I put the silver on a couple of cotton squares and then put them over the cut. Within 3 days, the cut had almost healed and there was no sign of infection. My next use was for a cold/sore throat. I initially thought the symptoms were from an allergy, so I didn't use the silver until a couple of days after the onset. I then started gargling and spraying a "silver mist" in my nose and within 2 days, I was feeling almost back to normal, instead of feeling badly for 7-10 days. I strongly suggest that you want to do research before you ingest the 500 ppm on a continuing basis - I wouldn't do that personally, but using this strength topically is great and effective. (As a side, I also use it on my pets.) Thank you.

This is a very good product. The bottle is small but it is very strong. I like to keep it in my cabinet for whenever I feel like I need some extra support. It is easy to take and doesn't have a bad taste.

Since I had to edit this review and can't say why I like it. I will try this. I love Silverwings.

Very good purchase

This is toxic as per medical science. I started taking it as per recommendation on the label, however after 5 days of use, I started experiencing pain in my liver, spleen and kidneys. I had a compromised liver and immune system. On research, I found that in such high doses, it is toxic to the system and can cause permanent irreversible damage to skin, liver, kidneys. I am now struggling with its impact and in pain. There is no way to flush it down either.
