Packaging from same brand I get from my insurance
Arrived in packaging with the same name as the supplies I get from my insurance! Always an extra star for that IMHO, and will always earn me as a repeat customerLong strap adjusts to many head sizes, even my near-child-sized head. My doctor never brought this product up to me, so I was just curious to try it, and the pricing was reasonable. I had been getting more ingrown facial hairs and pseudofolliculitis around the area that the full face CPAP mask and straps touches my face, plus I was getting marks, so I had wanted to see if this would help. (Ultimately, what was most important was buying new headgear more frequently than insurance approves because the straps wear out and then I’d crank the straps down too tight to keep the mask on.)I don’t really use this anymore since I don’t always feel like adding an extra step to my night routine but I’m glad I did buy it. It does stay on and it does help with the issue that I did have. My mouth was also opening and leading to major air leaks and ineffective therapy delivery. Now that I’ve been on CPAP for about 18 months, I’ve gotten the learning curve down a bit more and learned how to adjust the equipment better and what’s important for a good seal. I still keep it in my medication bag in case I want to use it.It’s worth a try!

Chin Strap
This is the best chin strap I’ve ever used. I’ve tried a few different brands, but they do not compare well to the original. Some other brands have the colors running on first use. Stick with the Resmed brand. Product shipped timely and in excellent condition.ThanksRH

Horrible material. Bad design.
Extremely itchy, rough and uncomfortable fabric. It irritated my chin so terribly after trying for two nights that I gave up. I even tried lining it with cotton to avoid the irritation that it caused on my chin. It also slides all around on top of my head since it only has one strap on top to keep it in place. The fabric is very rough on one side and a little softer on the reverse side. I tried both ways. Unfortunately, the softer side still itches has huge thick seams where it’s sewn. Very poor design. Didn’t keep my mouth closed either. Will return.

UPDATE: Fits and works well but can slide down
Nice to find this chin strap from a reputable brand of CPAP products. Fits my chin well and adjusts easily with a simple velcro strap.A little pricey for what it is, but we'll see if being a Resmed item translates into durability. I'll update review if it proves not.UPDATE: I found the flaw in this single strap chinstrap: it slides around, both forward and backwards. Seasoned CPAP users know this which is why many of them use more substantial double strapped versions.HOWEVER, if you're using a CPAP device with hose connection on top of the head (e.g. Resmed Airfit 30i or AirTouch 30i, Dreamwear etc) AND you have long enough hair to put it in a top knot, a simple solution to this strap's sliding is to fasten it between the top knot and the upper frame of mask on the top of your head. Stays in place. Easy Peasy. See picThe hair top knot also keeps the top frame from sliding back -- a common complaint of the top hose masks. Two birds one stone (strap).

Functional but Uncomfortable Fabric
Stays in place, adjustable, and keeps my mouth shut while using a full face CPAP. Last night I slept for 8 hours for the first time in years, and this was after a refreshing 3 hour nap in the afternoon, during which I used the chin strap for the first time. So why didn't I give it 5 stars? Well, the fabric itches my chin. However, turning it inside out so the seams did not touch my chin and tucking an ultra soft piece of Kleenex between my face and the chin piece helped.Night 2: Wow, what a difference 24 hours make. I am now lowering this review to 3 stars. I did not notice it until I tried to wear this a second night, but the mask seems to have given my chin a small, paper cut type of injury during the first night, making the mask sting too much to put on again, even with tissue to pad it. Rats, now I have to find a different solution. Wear a bandaid each night? Line the chin piece with felt and/or flannel? My son recommends developing a "chin callous", but ... Ok, I have to admit that I don't know how to do that. It's too bad, because this chin strap does work very well otherwise. R and D, can you please go back to the drawing board on this otherwise good product?

GREAT, but watch who is supplying before ordering
I received a genuine Resmed strap. Built well and works well. I have bought others similar, but they don't seem as well made and heavy duty as this strap. Chin portion I find comfortable and don't feel I need to put any thing on my chin first to stop marks. Holds well and I have not had a problem with slippage.I noted about checking supplier. Seems like there are negative reviews on this product based on people ordering and not getting a genuine Resmed strap, but rather a generic one. If you look, this seems to mainly one supplier doing this. Just avoid that supplier. The strap I received was genuine and sealed in the original Resmed package.Pleased.

Didn't work for me
The first one I bought was a counterfeit knockoff. It was not made by resmed. It didn't look like the resmed model and did not come with the resmed documentation. It came with no information at all. It was cheaper looking and stretchy. Watch out for that. The second one I bought was authentic resmed. This specific chin strap does not work for me. I think I have a normal shaped head. It seems just ineffectively designed. When I put the strap around me head and just above my ears it stays for a little while but then starts sliding forward on me head. As is slides it loosens up and then doesn't do its job. The only way I can position it to not move is to put the strap straight over my ears. Obviously that's not comfortable and I won't wear it that way. I'm going to purchase a different design that goes around the ears. This one looked less intrusive which is why I bought it. But unfortunately it didn't do the job for me.
