Hello,In India, the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), regulates the certification of organic products as per National Standards for Organic Production (NPOP). The USDA has recognized NPOP conformity assessment procedures of accreditation as equivalent to that of US. With these recognitions, Indian organic products duly certified by the accredited certification bodies of India are accepted by the importing countries, such as the US. California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF) then certifies our Turmeric Powder as Organic based on the certification of APEDA. In a sense, CCOF acts as a double certification and a failsafe, to make absolutely sure our Turmeric Powder is indeed Certified Organic. Whew! That was a lot of abbreviations! Hope that helps!

sugar, sodium and fat and others like iron, vitamins are components of the Turmeric itself and regulated as Nutrition Facts. Turmeric Root Powder is the only ingredient in this product. Labeling is missing % of the Organic Claim which required by the regulation.
