Time saver.
This works great for filling the pods without getting the rims dirty. Making sure that those were clean before putting the cap took too too long before using this.

Easiest and best for refills
This is the third product I've tried and really the only one that produces a brew as good as that from Nespresso.I've tried the plastic ones with soft top, and the all-steel inserts (reduced volume) and neither of those produced the same rich brew I like from the official, monopoly pods.To stockpile a few empty capsules, I use a very sharp knife to carefully and completely remove the plastic, foil-like used cover. If you dismantle an unused capsule, you'll have a good idea of the grind and compactness that meets the machines best performance. I use espresso level of find grind at the store. I find French Roast (darkest) is much like the Intenso variant from N.To refill, it's relatively easy to drop the cleaned, dry, used pod into the glass base holder, put on the funnel that prevents grounds from dirtying the rim. I then fill and only slightly tamp down the grounds. The separately ordered foil covers peel away from the 4-per sheet, and they have a slightly sticky perimeter that you'll align to the top opening -- not very difficult and I could peel away and reposition if I am too sloppy. One then uses the funnel as a press to seal the sticky foil to the rim, and then quicky fold underneath the slight overlap.I typically wait until the pod discharge holder is full and do a whole batch, as discarding and rinsing is a bit messy.I like that this is a green process and saves money. However you are spending time doing this work as your trade-off for savings. I think sip for sip it passes the blind taste test.

Mostly good refill tool
I have a different Nespresso pod refill tool that doesn't have the funnel part for the top. I find this refill kit easier to use because of the funnel part. However, I get a better seal if I don't use the funnel part to seal the sticker to the pod. A lot of times there are coffee bits on the bottom that cause issues creating the seal (dents in the sticker, etc). The seal doesn't work great either using the funnel.Instead, I use the funnel to get the coffee grounds into the pod, put a sticker on the top, use the small paintbrush handle that came with the other refill kit and run the handle around the rim to create the seal, turn the pod over and use the paintbrush end to push the rest of the sticker flat. The paintbrush was included in the other kit so you could get the grounds off the pod before placing the sticker. So I prefer this refill kit because of the funnel--that feature is much better than the paintbrush!I personally cannot wait until 3rd party companies can make the new pod shapes for us to buy. It appears that is years away though :/

Works as advertised
I can refill a pod without this tool, but I find I can complete the task much faster using the RECAPS. It is very well made, with enough heft and weight to ensure the tool will stay in place as you refill the pod. Prior to using this tool, I had ocaisional problems with spilling coffee grounds due to the pod shifting. The tool is well designed with each feature helping to improve the refill process.I anguished for a couple of weeks between ordering the raw tool or the package with the tamper and sample lids. I am happy I saved money by getting the tool alone. I see no added value to the tamper since it is not recommended that you tamp your grounds too firmly. I use a coffee spoon to lightly tamp and think it makes for a great cup of coffee. The tamper might be helpful for repacking for espresso but is not necessary for coffee repacks.

Best design with the funnel over the holder design
Very easy to use, no learning curve. The design is the best one I’ve tried as it acts as a funnel to get the grounds placed without spilling any on the edge making foil adhesion better. Also placing the funnel on top of the foil seal and pressing down helps with good adhesion and no worry of puncturing the foil like with the other brands where you run the wooden end of the brush around the edge to help seal it. I like the design of this method best. Brewing the coffee has gone off without a hitch, good crema and no mess. I have to give this one 5 stars over the other ones I bought though they have all worked for me.

Does exactly what it's meant to do
This is very heavy duty and well made. I really like the fact that the base has a heavy metal weight on the bottom. This is meant to be used for tamping, but you shouldn't be tamping your coffee grounds for this type of pod.The funnel works great, it's nice that it's made of clear plastic(very heavy duty) so you are able to see the grounds . It should last forever.

Fantastic product
I have tried a couple of these refill systems and this one is hands down the best one I have tried. The top "funnel piece " seconds as a press to help seal the foil and did a great job for me. I love being able to choose my own bean and grind and lower the cost of a pod from 1.25 avg to under a quarter. Also allows me to recycle the pods making the whole system much more eco friendly.

Works Extremely Well
I purchased a bundle with this holder, a metal tamper, along with a package of Recaps foil replacement lids. I believe this holder plays a critical role in making refilling Nespresso coffee capsules a relatively easy, fast process. Yes, you could make an inferior homemade version of this holder but this unit is quite sturdy, perfectly sized, and also has a top which does double duty, both to keep the capsule rim free of grounds and to seal the foil lid securely onto the capsule. I highly recommend this holder.
