NESDR SMArt v5 RTL-SDR Essentials Starter Kit - Includes Everything to Start with Software Defined Radio Including Premium SDR, Flamingo FM Bandstop Filter, 3 Antennas, 10 Adapters & Case

Unbelievable how inexpensive this amazing receiver is. Get the upconverter "Ham It Up" to be able to tune down to VLF

This SDR kit came with everything that’s needed antennas, connectors, cables. Immediately got recognized by CubeSDR and in 5 mins after unwrapping the package I had a FM stereo running.

I don't know enough about the hobby yet to legit "rate" it BUT the ONLY known driver you can get for it will NOT install on win 11 as is. You'll find all kinds of suggestions about not using USB 3 & disabling window's smart app & core isolation setting & such, which do NOT help so don't even bother with ANY of that. & most of the OEM vendor's website's info is literally like 8 yrs old. The "solution" is to simply use win 98 compatibility mode via the exe's properties/compatibility tab. It worked right away like a champ from there. Good Luck!

I got this kit with the Ham it up upconverter for HF shortwave / ham listening. It has replaced my Sony ICF SW 7600 that simply wore out after years of use. I am very impressed with the abilities of software defined radio. The waterfall display on SDR is amazing and the DSP options are numerous and effective. It has changed the hobby for me. The included selection of adapters covers most of the likely HF antenna connectors needed. I used the supplied antennas, they work but I quickly upgraded to an outdoor antenna. I use the kit with SDR# software and an outdoor 11M dipole antenna. The NESDR is sensitive and about equal to the Sony (on battery) which is surprising with all the RF interference generated by the PC and switching power supply. Receive is not as sensitive as dedicated ham radio receivers but plenty adequate for exploring the HF spectrum and FAR beyond. SDR radio has a learning curve. Once you get it running there are all kinds of settings to experiment with and time needs to be spent to get the most out of it. I find that to be half of the fun.

I finally got it to work by using a fresh OS install and downloading HDSDR from HDRSDR.com

After hours of failed set up. Problem solved. Nothing inside the case.... just a dummy product. No pcb board with chips.

Wouldn't work

No instructions! Unbelievable.

Works as expected. Nice upgrade from the old blue metal SDR that is a lot of people's first one. :) This defines itself as a v5 even though the listing says v4, so that's great! Comes with a lot of connectors of good quality. 3 different antennas that screw into a mag-base and a bandstop filter. (Haven't used that yet). Quite a pleasing kit.
