2 year old loves this book
This is the second copy of this book that I've purchased for my 2 1/2 year old grandson. He wore out the first copy (he tore off some of the flaps on the first copy due to overuse). This board book is well made, but the binding on the flaps just won't stand up to the full attention of a small child when read (and pulled at) over and over... Short of putting real metal hinges on the flaps, it's as well made as can be expected, and our little Chuggington fan absolutely loves it. It's colorful, instructive, & encourages memorization and simple fine motor skills.

High quality book
Such a cute book! The lift flaps are easy for little fingers to get in to, and they aren't so flimsy that they rip off right away. High quality book construction. The pages are engaging for the child and also promote learning of animals, counting, and colors.

Flaps Not as Creative as They Could Be
This book leaves much to be desired in the way of lift-the-flaps. On each page except the first, the flaps that you lift basically just have the same picture underneath or simply a color or name, which does not peak children's interest. The page with Koko on it simply asks you to find all the squirrels and has a squirrel under each of the flaps, which is quite boring for children- at least if they have some different animals then children could differentiate between squirrels and other animals and find how many squirrels there are.In sum, if you are looking for a good lift the flap book, you should look elsewhere (Little People ones are great!). But if you are just buying this because your children love Chuggington, then they may be happy with the book regardless of its disappointing flaps.

Fun Chuggington book
My 2 year old loves Chuggington. This is a fun book with lots of flaps for busy fingers to lift! You can work in colors (who is the blue train?), and counting. He enjoys tho book.

Fun book for kids.
The book was purchased as a Christmas gift for a three year old who loves trains. He loves to have his parents and grandmother read it to him.

Good for chuggington fans
I agree with the other reviewer. This book has nothing else to offer apart from the pictures of the chuggington characters. Out of 5 scenes, 3 scenes are just pictures of the characters: 1 - all of them sleeping in their roundhouses (this is the only fun part); 2 - all of them in motion (teaches various colours); 3 - again all of them in motion (identifying the characters). 1 scene is based on 'Wilson and the elephant' episode though it would looked better with a lot more details. 1 scene is based on 'Koko and the squirrels' and is nothing but counting upto 8 squirrels hidden under the flaps. So nothing spectacular but one that would not hold a child's interest for long.
