Valued Purchase
My top of the line Panasonic Blu-Ray Player came with a 1 year warranty. I had a problem with it 2 months after I purchased it and I used the troubleshooting procedure in its operation manual to fix it. The same problem occurred 2-3 months later and the trouble shooting procedure did not work the second time. I requested warranty service through Panasonic's specific "blu-ray player" warranty service provider and was informed that the warranty only covered labor costs for 90 days. In addition to labor costs I would have to pay a $50 diagnostic charge and a $15 shipping charge for returning the unit after the repair was completed. So my Panasonic 1 year warranty really turned out to be a 90 day warranty. I never expected anything to go wrong with this blu-ray player within the first year; however, I decided to buy the Asurian 3-year product insurance plan because the blu-ray player was a very expensive purchase to begin with. I had no problems when submitting a claim with Asurion. The claim process was easy and I was able to ship the unit in for repair on the same day I submitted my repair request online. The unit was repaired and returned to me within 2 weeks so I am a happy customer. I recommend everyone look closely at any warranty that comes with a costly purchase; you may find out that it isn't what you expected.

Easy to get ahold of and return defective item. Gift card was emailed the same day as UPS puck up. Highly recommend on valuable electronics.

A company that backs its Word
Asurion went through the protocol of trying to address my sick Panasonic dvd and when it couldn’t they came through with full recovery of funds to replace it. In a world of “Bate and Switch”, it’s a breath of fresh air to be insured by a company that is consistently honest to the customer. I’ll recommend your coverage in a heartbeat 💗

I generally only buy extended warranty for water-using appliances. However, I have used Asherin for several expensive electronics and always had a great experience when I had to file a claim.

Good company
Didnt need it , product was defective right away. I notified assurian they directed me to have it taken care of by amazon. Didnt offer to give my money back. nothing else . Didnt offer to switch coverage to my new item. Complete waste of my money.. edit. They did reach out to me and initiate a refund which was very good i still have a plan for TV from them which is reassuring. They responded well to my inquiries

Both of my Samsung sound tower speakers quit working at about the same time. I fought with Asurion about mailing them in for repairs because I had nothing to ship them in. They finally authorized me to take them to a local repair shop. I took them to a Samsung authorized repair shop, and the repairs were going to cost more than what I paid for the speakers. Asurion gave me 2 options, pay the extra $400 out of pocket, or buy and build boxes to ship them in. I opted to build boxes for them, and ship them to Asurion. They quickly came to the same conclusion that the repair shop had, and issued me a gift card for the purchase price of each sound tower. Unfortunately, that still left my out of pocket expense at around $200 between the diagnostic fee and buying supplies to build the freaking boxes to ship them in!

Easy to make a claim and food response time
I got this warranty for a $500 Anker projector. The projector ended up having some issues. The claims process was easy I chatted with them online and they quickly determined I needed to send it in for repair. They gave me a prepaid label and I sent it in. The day it arrived they sent me a note of saying it was not an issue they could fix and they refunded me the entire cost of the projector to purchase it again on Amazon. It was incredibly easy compared to many warranty services.
