Useful 'Scope for Field Work and General Magnification
As with many things, you get what you pay for. And for the price, this little microscope does a decent job once you get through the set-up and learning curve (maybe 1 hr or so for me as I couldn't figure out how to get the Wi-Fi to connect and then figuring out the sensitivity of the magnifying wheel). So give yourself time to get the set-up figured out.Once I got that out of the way I have to say I am pretty impressed. This is a great tool to take into the field (I'm studying Monarch Butterflies and learning about a bacteria that infects them...many of the people who do this use this kind of microscope to check for the spores before releasing the butterfly. I really like that I can connect it to my phone or my laptop so that I don't have to try to squint into an eyepiece (I never got along with regular microscopes for this reason)When you use the PC and download the App to run the 'scope, you may have to go into Settings in the Camera App to change to this device. Mine kept connecting to my web camera until I figured that out.I tested this with a piece of thread, a container with that damn insanely small writing that you need a magnifying glass to read, and a leaf and am including photos of each.My only issue is that the light is not as bright as might be useful but for my purposes and needs it will do.

Fun wireless microscope with a few minor issues
Just setting this up for a Christmas gift. An English speaker to write out proper instructions would be helpful The disappointment is that the very bright LED lights that surround the lens reflect off the specimen slides, so the specimen is obscured when using the microscope on the stand. The uploaded photo is the best I could get with the microscope on the stand arm. You have to hold it directly on top of the slide for the lights to not obscure the slide. The stand and microscope work ok with non-reflective items. We’re going to enjoy discovery with this microscope. I love that it’s wireless. Setup to iOS was easy, but can’t use Wi-Fi while this is on. It does conveniently switch back to Wi-Fi once the microscope is turned off.On Mac, it connects with a cable only through photo booth. Very easy to set up. Too bad it can’t be wireless with a Mac pc though.

SUPER COOL!
This is super cool!!! Easy to connect to phone. Gave to my 15 yr old daughter, who’s not a huge science fan, and she’s running around the house and everyone, even the adults, are amazed and impressed with the powerful zoom on skin and fabric and it comes with some slides.

Cheap product that doesn’t work.
This product is useless for me. When following the instructions for using with my MacBook Pro, the images do not load well at all. The initial image loads but as you focus or move the camera, subsequent images either do not load at all, or are occasionally load after 30 seconds or more.I didn’t even try using it with my iPhone. I’m not going to install software on my phone that is not approved by Apple and available through the App Store. Besides, if it doesn’t work well on my laptop, I have no reason to believe it will work better on the phone. Also, the magnification dial is actually a focus dial. The stand is poorly designed. You cannot bend it to 90 degrees, which prevents the camera lens plane from being parallel with the specimen board.

It magnifies, but could be smoother
This magnifier was okay. It did zoom in, but i had a hard time with the dial as it would catch when i tried to turn it. It took a while to focus. Not sure if this was an issue with the microscope or just human error.

Detailed Information Ahead (Full Review)
I bought this for some close-up shots for my wrist watch YouTube channel called About That Time (smash that like button). It was an incredible amount of zoom for $40. The WiFi is steady and records perfect on my Galaxy S10 and has amazing clarity.I can finally see my tinie winnie (I'm married so we have gotten past it)

Works, but a PITA
For starters, the screw was missing, so couldn't mount the scope to the cheap platform. Next, the instructions state, "You cannot use the camera button with an Android Device" and goes on to explain you need to download software from an external website, "Inskam." The instructions are written in 4 pt font, so you almost need the microscope to read the instructions - a truly circular trap of hell. The next problem is the download is a zipped exe, so if you want to install this on a mobile device, plan on downloading more software that will install a windows ap onto a mobile device.I said, "F" that and downloaded the software to a laptop (Windows). No prob there, and launched the app. Well, its what I call minimalist software - no instructions, hardly intuitive. After several minutes of trying to get the WIFI to connect, I gave up and was ready to send it back - then I noticed the WIFI/USB button on the right side. Sliding over to USB, I was now able to get the Inkscam software to see the scope. Further T&E, I finally got it to take pictures, but only by clicking the screen; the push button on the scope is disabled in USB mode - but, as it turns out, it will never work with an Android/Windows device - you must snap your shots from the laptop/software.OK, so I took a few pics, and it worked, but I believe the tech specs for this on Amazon are highly deceptive. At best, this is a tiny subset of the IOS version. Plus, that missing screw means a trip to the hardware store.Don't buy this, look around.

Great little microscope
This was a birthday gift for my seven year old grandson. His dad had to set up the program app. The microscope is easy to use and very functional. It’s going to be a great addition to his bug adventures.
