If you are looking to add more healthy vegetables to your diet this pumpkin puree is perfect to use in all your recipes. I find it very economical and delicious. I use half a can of this pumpkin puree and freeze the rest for the next time I make the pumpkin chili from Lee Hull's Stopping Kidney Disease Food Guide Recipe Book. The only things I do differently are use two small to medium zucchini instead of the eggplant and 1 cup zucchini. Then I put in 2 1/4 teaspoon vegetable base (or more as needed) and water in place of the salt-free vegetable broth. I also omit the cilantro. And I use half a can instead of just a 1/2 cup of pumpkin. Either way this has become a staple of my cooking so I'm happy to get pumpkin puree at such a reasonable cost! Today I had all the ingredients to make the pumpkin chili and it made three servings with medium zucchini. Now I have extra for lunch tomorrow! I think you will be very happy with the flavor of this pumpkin puree. This is also very low sodium! Really deserves 5 stars for flavor, but dented cans reduce the rating. (Would give 4.5 if I could.) This is just as thick and delicious as the more expensive brand I have ordered before I saw this option. Satisfied with how it bakes and tastes. Don't like that one or two cans (of six) have arrived dented, but for the price I'll deal with it. If you really hate dented cans, this may not be for you. But I can't taste any difference when compared to another brand, which is usually twice the cost of this one.
