Autotools Easy-to-Use Disc Brake Pad Spreader Caliper Piston Compressor

Initially used this on a difficult brake caliper piston, and wrote it off as useless. Upon using it a second time, I finally realized that my last brake job's piston was the problem and not the fault of the product. I even a had a hard time using my large C clamp and nearly broke that off as well before the piston retracted back into caliper. It is a geat tool to have, but I'm keping my large C clamp just in case.

Awesome. I cleaned the caliper piston, used the old brake pad and slowly turned the end. The piston glided in with ease. I am amazed, I'm a 71 year old female doing my own brakes. Yes! I used the silicone on the caliper slider pins and ta da.With the right tools you can do anything.Yup. Showed my new gadget to my neighbors and the park owner.

Saw the item being used on a ChrisFix video and decided to give it a go with a rotor and brake pad replacement. Worked fantastically, I opened the brake fluid cap to relieve pressure and slowly turned the knob in order to move the caliper back. The people who complain about breaking the knob might have turned it too quickly or might have had an issue with the caliper.

I haven't used this tool yet because my brake job ended up so much easier than I expected. There was no need to use the tool. However, the tool has weight, nicely put together and appears to be very strong. The materials used on this tool seems to be of a very high quality metal. I just hope that it functions as good as it looks and feel.

Haven't used it yet, but it looks stout enough for many uses. The plastic handle connection looks like the weak point, but as long as you take your time cranking the caliper back in, it should last.

Makes spreading the caliper soooooo much easier than other options. A must for a home brake job.

I purchased this as it was cheaper than the caliper piston compressor kits, and not as bulky as a few others for my intended use. This tool worked great when I changed out all of my brake pads. It was easy to use and I had no issues whatsoever with it. For a backyard DIYer, this was perfect!
