Easy to work with, sounds good.
I've been in the audio industry for over two decades, and I've seen my fair share of connectors. But these XLR connectors... these are something special. From the moment I wired them up, I knew I was in for a treat. The sound quality is simply breathtaking.Crystal-Clear ClarityThe first thing that struck me was the clarity. Every note, every nuance, every detail was presented with stunning accuracy. It was as if a veil had been lifted from my ears, revealing a whole new level of sonic detail.Unmatched Depth and DimensionThe depth and dimension of the soundstage were equally impressive. Instruments were placed with pinpoint precision, creating a holographic image that was both immersive and realistic. I felt like I was right there in the recording studio, surrounded by the musicians.Silky-Smooth HighsThe high frequencies were silky-smooth and extended, without a hint of harshness or sibilance. Cymbals shimmered, strings soared, and vocals floated effortlessly above the mix.Powerful, Controlled LowsThe low frequencies were equally impressive, with a depth and power that I've rarely heard from other connectors. Bass notes were tight, controlled, and impactful, adding a visceral dimension to the music.Build QualityOf course, sound quality is only part of the equation. These XLR connectors are also built to last, with a solid, robust construction that feels like it could withstand a lifetime of use.ConclusionIn short, these XLR connectors are a sonic revelation. They offer a level of clarity, depth, and detail that I've never experienced before. If you're serious about audio quality, I highly recommend giving these connectors a try. You won't be disappointed. My only issue was one I’ve often had with similar connectors: the female connectors helpfully have holes in the solder lugs, to make soldering easier. The male connectors don’t have these holes, so it is frustratingly difficult to solder them, unless I drill similar holes myself. After drilling so many connectors, and destroying at least one when attempting to drill it, I would gladly pay a bit extra for ones with holes already in the terminals.Pros:Crystal-clear clarityUnmatched depth and dimensionSilky-smooth highsPowerful, controlled lowsSolid, robust constructionCons:Had to drill holes in the male connectors to help with soldering.

They r tougher than they feel like
They feel cheep like brittle or something. The first thing that fails is usually the soft rubber or vinyl tip breaks off from the housing.

Good for the price.
At a cost of approximately $.75/connector ($1.50/pair), I honestly wasn't expecting much, but for the price, these seem fairly reasonable. I purchased them from a need to build a couple of patch cables, and figured it would be nice to have some spares. The first thing I noticed was that the casting of the threads was not terribly precise. I think the bodies will hold together fine, but removing and reattaching the boot is not very smooth. The solder tabs accepted the solder well. I have an adjustable soldering iron, so didn't have any trouble, but I expect that the plastic holding the pins might melt with excessive heat. (I always do the soldering with the piece I'm building mated with another connector. That helps to hold pins in place.)The connectors seemed to mate well with each other and with other brand connectors that I tried. All the pin connections checked out. There was a little play between the connectors, but no broken continuity. To sum up: Don't expect brand name quality, but if you're looking for a cheap, semi-bulk option and don't plan to take them out on tour, these would probably be fine.

Great XLR plugs
Well made. High quality. –• But BEWARE •— As with all these new lower temperature plastic inserts, they will melt if you are not quick with your solder technique.A good method with all of these new lower temperature plastic inserts is to put a little bit of solder on the connector pins, then tin the stripped wire ends, then while holding them together, get a drop of solder on your iron and touch the wire and pin together. The trick is to work quickly, don’t hold the iron on the pin for more that one second, and use a 25 watt iron. I make many cords a week and if you are quick, these are great and will last a long time for a budget price.

Somewhat disappointing
I have been using commercial grade product for 40 years. Now retired, I find myself involved in audio systems at our village gatherings. I thought these would be sufficient for the limited use, but I was wrong. The problem is that the metal of the spring connections are quite weak, and lose the ability to make a good connection with the other side of the connection. The first set I tried to use, one line is intermittent - not because of any failure in the wire, but wiggling the connector makes it come and go. I should have stuck with what I know works - even though it costs more. I learned my lesson.

Works great
I buy these so I have an easier time following my cable. The soldiering is not difficult and they have held up great. This is the second time I have bought these ends for the worship team at church.

Well made, solid cable capture
Just recently made up 55 new XLR cables for my two bands. I wanted to have a set of "gig" cables dedicated to each setup, now I do. Color coded collars help when chasing down wiring gremlins! These connectors solder up nicely, are all metal so durable and do a great job capturing the wire when the case halves are screwed together. Should provide good stage service.
