WD201 Mallet, 20-Ounce

great mallet to use with my wooden handle chisels. A bit pricy, but should work well and last a long time.Recommended.

I've been using this mallet for 2 years now and it's absolutely amazing. Some scuffs from hitting what I shouldn't but 0 dents or actual damage. 20/20.

Just started getting into woodworking and the standard rubber mallet i had on hand was a little cumbersome to use. The wood is good mallet is a little pricey for what it is, but the quality is really nice and it feels great in the hand. While it won't magically make my dovetails look professional, it does improve confidence over a standard mallet by allowing my to strike my chisel with more control and accuracy.

I was skeptical. I live in an apartment and do my leather working there. Using my previous mallets whenever I had to use drive punches or pricking irons its been a very noisy affair and I always felt like I was disturbing my neighbors. I made my first project with this mallet yesterday and was stunned by how quiet it was. Its also nice and heavy so it takes less swings to drive through thick leather. I love this thing! Now its one of my favorite tools in my leather working kit.

Works great with paring chisels and for hawging out mortises. Only complaint is it seems a bit pricey for a round piece plastic with a handle.

Having never used a round mallet before I'm pleased with it's ability to provide a nuanced blow when using wood chisels.

There is a very good selection of weights available. I may have gotten one that is too heavy but time will tell. I like everything about the mallet. I have some maple mallets that work well but I liked the large diameter on this one. I don't think you can go wrong with one of these mallets. They are also very affordable for the quality!

Well made product. Works as advertised. I've had it just over 6 months, and with the exception of the sweat marks on the handle, it looks and feels exactly as it did on day 1. Urethane hammer head is non-marring, and looks to be extremely durable. I replaced a wooden mallet with this item, and will never go back. Does absolutely zero damage to my chisel handles, and reduces shock in my hands by 100%. Can highly recommend!

This is a first class woodcarving mallet, enabling both powerful as well as subtle working. It is also very quiet, a major asset when the workshop or studio is in a residential area.

Just an all around amazing tool. Great balance, great weight, the feel is very precise. I got myself the 12oz and the 20oz and I loved them so much I took the time to leatherbind their handle. If you need a carving mallet, just buy any of this brand up here. Just go for it! :)
