Works hard, so you don't have to.
I bought two of these bad boys so my wife and I could more freely enjoy our work from home days. Plugs right into a standard USB port (we opted NOT to use the USB ports on our computers, and plugged straight into the wall) and has a Micro USB going into the device itself. I would say, the cord it comes with *could* be a bit longer, however we had open outlets real close so didn't pose an issue for us when we set them up. Which was super simple to do by the way, just plug both sides of the cord and you're done. The power button has a nice white glowing ring around it when it's turned on, which I found to be helpful while walking past my office and wondering if I had remembered to activate it before stepping away. I think the only actual drawback I found was the button itself isn't super easy to press in. What I mean by that is it's kindof a deep press... and because the unit itself is so light (lighter overall than a deck of cards) it tends to squirm away as you try and push the button. A small inconvenience to need to use two hands to activate it (unless you adhere it to your desk or perhaps put something behind it to brace it) but worth mentioning. Not a big enough problem to cost it a star though. It does make a small amount of noise when it's on, honestly lower than a whisper, but in a quiet office or room it is audible. That being said, the purpose of these is to *not* be in the room, so don't let that change your mind. I will update this review if any issues or reliability problems come up, but I sincerely doubt they will. Hope this helps those of you who are interested in getting the most out of your remote work opportunities!!

Exactly as advertised...
"You have to watch this 4 hours of training online." <computer goes to sleep every 5 minutes>"Why weren't you at your computer? It says you were away 20 minutes." "I get a lunch you know!"If this or any similar Big Brother-ish stuff is happening to you, then this product is your cure. So, this isn't really a high-tech device. It's not a multi-function gizmo with a Swiss Army portfolio of uses, but a product that's built to do just one thing and do it reliably: keep your computer awake. Thankfully, it does exactly that, and it does it without software running that your IT department will flag as "unauthorized."This thing is just incredibly simple to use and effective. The base is built solidly, with a non-skid rubber bottom so it won't slide around on your desk. There's a white LED ring around the power switch so you know when it's on. Just plug it in, turn it on, and set the mouse on top. It's the right size so any average mouse will sit on it properly, with the mechanical wheel placed under the sensor. Voila! Instant relief from the dreaded eyes in the sky.

Good product and reliable
This product functions perfectly as solves the problem that’s been in the industry. I’ve recommended this to quite a few of my friends and they all loved it. I found out about this product through a friend of mine and use it quite regularly. This is my second purchase and I’d recommend this.

Does the job - NOT random
First I want to say that this device works. It does exactly what I needed and very simply. It keeps the system from going to sleep or showing away. It is very easy to use - plug it in to a power source (I used a power block from an old phone to avoid any contact with the system) and set the mouse on it and walk away. With that being said the movement is absolutely NOT random. The tacking wheel on the device moves first one direction, pauses, and then moves back the other direction. The mouse moves across the screen one way and a few seconds later it moves back exactly where it came from…over and over with only about a 2 or 3 second pause between movements. If someone were to monitor your screen it would be 100% obvious that you are on a jiggler. There are no adjustments to the interval or direction. You can reposition the mouse to get movement in some other direction however it is still constantly back and forth in that pattern until you move the mouse. I am not dissatisfied with the item. It does exactly what I wanted, but it does seem to be a bit overpriced for the simplicity of it as others have mentioned. There is some small noise (first day of use) that I can imagine will increase as the unit ages but that is tolerable (at least for now). As also noted by others the power button is not the easiest to use. The button is in front of the unit but it has a ring around it to house the “on” indicator light and the button is small (about 5/16ths of an inch or 8mm) wide. The button is recessed behind the light ring and also has a longer travel than expected (also noted by others) which results in needing to use either my pinky finger or a pen/pencil to depress the button. Not huge but a negative. Again overall it works, it is simple and easy, and it is mostly undetectable. I can’t give it a full 5 stars but I am happy with it on day one.Update:I have been using the device (on first thing in the morning and off last thing when I clock out. Whether or not it gets used during the day it is on) for about a year and a half. It has seemed like the power button was getting harder to reach and yesterday it pushed completely back into the unit. I took it apart today and found a couple of things.1. The weight of the device is artificial and is the result of two weights hot glued to the inside of the base plate.2. The power button is not secured to anything. It (the blue piece) has slowly pushed through the holder (the black piece) until it simply fell out inside the device. The power button was still functional so I disassembled the device, reassembled the power button, and put a spot of hot glue on it to hold the parts together. The device is back together and the button seems to be staying in place. The device still works. It still makes noise. (I have mostly gotten used to it.) It is still not random. I am still reasonably happy with it. (Ordered Nov 8, 2022. Review updated March 28, 2024)
