What is the detection range of this handheld metal detector pin pointer?

The size of metal items is directly proportional to the detection distance: the larger the item, the farther the detection range; the smaller the item, the closer the detection range.

Is this metal detector wand waterproof?

Only the pointer is waterproof, so do not submerge the entire unit in water.

What if the detector keeps beeping?
