Works Like the Original Bricks Great Quality
Works just like the original bricks I'm replacing, though I wouldn't say they're light. I would buy again.God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son. Anyone who believes in Him will not die but will have eternal life. John 3:16 NIRV “Believe in the Lord Jesus [as your personal Savior and entrust yourself to Him] and you will be saved, you and your household [if they also believe].” Acts 16 :31 AMP And if anyone’s name was not found written in the Book of Life, he was hurled into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:15 AMPTherefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life]. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (Amplified Bible)

Well Packaged Bricks
I haven't tried other brands of bricks other than whatever the originals were in my stoves. From the reviews I've read, breakage is a major complaint, whether when they arrive in the mail or after some use. I have ordered these bricks many times and not once have any of them been broken on arrival. They are very well packaged. As far as breakage after using them, if I throw or stuff a hunk of firewood in the stove and hit the bricks they're eventually going to break. My stoves are actually coal stoves that I often burn wood in but even with coal I've never had any of them melt. I know I'll be replacing a few bricks in at least one of my 3 stoves every year but to me that's just normal maintenance. And so long as a broken brick doesn't fall out of place and into the stove there is usually no reason to get in there and change it right away. To me, the main thing is they're delivered not broken and these bricks have never been broken on arrival.

Works for woodstove replacement bricks
Relined my woodstove with these. Easy to fit, can cut with a coarse hacksaw blade. A cheap diamond holesaw was used to cut holes for the air supply pipes. Hoping they last as long as OEM.

what I wanted, almost
I have a 25 plus year wood stove that I have never changed the Bricks. it is a high quality stove and I use it LOTS, sole source of heat in my 2k sf home. the original bricks were made in Canada as they are embossed with Canada on them. these bricks are all cracked to the point I thought it is a good time to change them, especially seeing the cost of the replacement bricks being what I consider a reasonable price. the new replacement bricks are significantly lighter, less dense, noticeably lighter than the original. I had to notch the top of the new bricks to fit under a lip that holds them in place in the stove. I knew I would have to notch them when I bought them. they were easily notched with a hand held rotary grinder. one brick cracked in half no where near the point I was grinding, not a big deal. I also had to cut one in width and it cut without problem, so I am not sure why the other split for no good reason on my part. my only concern is the much less dense construction of the bricks. as this is July I will not be using the stove for a few months to determine how they perform, and how they will hold up. not sure where these bricks are made as there is no indication with the product. they did replace the old bricks, fit in fine, were the exact same size as the old bricks, the size specified in product description. my questions are : "where are these bricks made?" and "how will the density effect performance?" and "how will they hold up?" time will tell. I would have rated the product higher if the bricks had been the same density as the original. the new bricks are very porous, the original bricks dense and smooth. the less dense construction leaves me thinking they will not hold up as well as the original, and only hope they provide a safe and effective liner for the stove.
