Water and corrosion are the enemies of radio signals carried by wireless networks and radio and TV antennas. Moisture leads to inefficient physical connections and a noisy line. Corrosion results in the destruction of the line's ability to carry signals. In higher frequencies, UHF, VHF and microwave ranges, water contamination causes losses that look like dead shorts. For amateur radio buffs, water contamination causes a significant change in SWR. Once corrosion starts, there is no way to stop it. Poor radiation patterns result and antenna efficiency drops. The simple and inexpensive solution is to seal all of your connections with Coax-Seal for years of protection from moisture and corrosion!

Expensive and too short
Shocked when I received this to find a letter-sized envelope (not even business-sized) with a little bit of the product, barely enough for one connection. Had to go back and review the listing. It is bad on me for not reading more carefully that this is only 10 inches. But with no product picture, this is an example where buying online I made a mistake I never would have made in person.Frankly, I don’t see why anone would want to buy this little stub for $5. Lots of more economical choices.

Perfect seal, weatherproof (sticky)
Just the right amount to seal a PL-259 connector at the base of an external antenna. Theoretically removable (no thank you!), and clearly weatherproof, this tape prevents water from entering the connection and causing SWR's to soar during a rainshower. It seems to remain tacky (forever?), and seems very unlikely to ever come undone without insistent encouragement! No doubt, I'll buy it again when putting up another base antenna.

Luckily 2228 ^& 2229 now exiist @ 10 ft for $10 at most Box stores in 2021
Bought this 5 years ago to seal a DTV SAT connection m now trying to seal a Streaming antenna and HDTV antenna F connectors. This had no competion 5 years ago ; a lot has changed . Not paying for 20 inches when I caqn get 10 ft by 1 inch of Moisture proof seal by 3M or Scotch. Grow up UE these prices will not fly in the community...not a repeat buyer till you wake up..

Small amount....not enough
It is what it said.... coax tape... but its thin and narrow. Barely enough for one joint. Needed to cover two coax joints. Kinda of expensive for what i got.

Good product, but small quantity package
This product works very well for providing a weather poof seal on outdoor cables. As listing says, this particular product packaging is for a "10" strip of 1/2" wide" strip. If you need a greater quantity, you'll want to compare this packaging option to other coax-seal listings to find the most cost-effective delivered (that is, product+shipping) cost.

Small quantity insufficient for use; buy a roll instead
What you get for this price is a small envelope with about a 5 inch strip of coax seal inside. That's barely enough for one coax connection. Don't get this; get a roll of it.

Keeps the moisture out; which is where it belongs!
Does what it's supposed to. There's a reason why this product is so popular with Amateur (Ham) Radio operators: it works. Use it to seal any outdoor coaxial connection to prevent moisture (Coax enemy No. 1) from weaseling its way into your antenna TX/RX line. I'm using it on coax connections for my homemade, HDTV antenna.....
