Patio Half Umbrella - 9' - By Trademark Innovations (Azure)

I was sorry to have to send this item back.I bought this umbrella for my balcony - as is most likely the case for many who purchase a half patio umbrella. I am positioning this umbrella up against a wall and found that when I do so the crank handle is not on-center but tilted off to one side instead (see photos). This may seem picayune to some but consider this - by the time I rotate the umbrella so that it sits flush to the wall, I wind up scraping my knuckles against the wall when I'm cranking the umbrella up or down - all because the crank handle doesn't sit square with the design of the umbrella.Furthermore, if you look at the product photos here on Amazon they clearly show, in all the photos, that the handle faces outward - away from the wall against which one can allegedly place this umbrella. So why isn't mine like the example shown in the photos? Say what you like but the whole purpose of having photos is to provide the consumer a photographic depiction of the product they can expect to receive - but that's not what I got.I did try calling the toll-free customer service number for the manufacturer but after waiting on hold for a number of minutes I got a recording that asked me to leave a message. I don't have the time for all this unnecessary nonsense. And why should something that should be a simple affair - buying an umbrella - suddenly require so much of my time and effort - all because someone isn't paying attention to quality control in their manufacturing practices. I don't have the time, or the desire, to work for free for companies who feel it's my job to point out their problems. Um...I believe that's called a consultant - and consultants get paid. Besides, as I said earlier, who wants to be bothered making all this effort just for an umbrella. My advice: Look elsewhere for something that is assembled with greater attention to detail.
