This is advertised to hold water or sand. The water just pours out, therefore not an option.
I was pleased with the look and the extra sizes of PVC to hold different size poles. I was very unhappy that it did not hold water, as advertised, for extra weight.

Stand Works Well
I bought this base for a flag I already purchased earlier this year. The stand is really light and holds up the flag pole pretty good without any weight added to the base. Since there is no weight, the flag does lean a little, so I will be buying some sand to fill it with. The pole I have is a little smaller than the base (I assumed it would be since it says what width flag poles it is for on the buy page), so I will probably put some sand or tiny rocks in the gaps between the pole and stand. But itโs a great stand and I have it in time for the 4th of July ๐๐บ๐ธ

Advertised as made from aluminum, received plastic
I specifically wanted a metal base. This was advertised as aluminum. I received a plastic base. I went online to find out if I chose the wrong base and order an aluminum base. It continued to put the plastic base in the cart.

Great flag pole base
The base is made out of plastic, but if looks and feels like its well put together. The base is hollow and is very light. Any flag pole with a flag you put in there will fall over. On the bottom there is a screw cap you can remove to fill the base with something to give it weight. I filled my base with small 1/4" sized rocks. Sand is too messy and water will leak through the cap. The base came with 2 different diameter tubes to accomadate different diameter poles.

Flawed Indoor Flag Stand
I ordered two indoor flag stands. They are made of plastic which I understood when ordered. But, the top of one of the stands has a deformity in the finish as seen in the photos.Not very attractive.
