Larger light, but bright and works great with DMX Settings
I love ADJ lights as they are durable and last. I still have my original ADJ light from the 90's and they still work great. You know, those lights with duty cycles and bulbs....LOL.The ADJ Stinger is a great light. It's bright, DMX settings work well and it does what it is supposed to do. This light is a bigger sized, round light but will fill a small to medium dance floor with it's beams. the LED lighting is bright, focused and looks great. The Lasers are also bright but my green lasers look a bit 'dirty' as instead of a bright clear focus like the red laser, the green has a lot of specs also shown and just seems like the focus is a little wide and has a 'dirty' look to it. i did not take away and stars as it still looks and works good.

Not a lot of control
A little disappointed with this one-First off it is NOT heavy as another reviewer implied- about average weight for a fixture of this type. When you turn on the light, it resets to "Show 1". A lot of us DJ's do not like to mess with DMX, and rely on pre-programmed shows built in the fixtures. This light really shines in Show 7 mode, but you would have to physically scroll through the menu to get to this every time the light is turned on. There is no UC3 control with this one. The "Sound Active" response to the music is generally not great (Yes, I adjusted sensitivity) .One of these will cover 12 x 12 dancefloor easy.I know the solution would be to buy the new NE1 wifly controller, but don't want to get sucked into DMX.Just okay-***UPDATE 12/5/15****Added a star - Lately this light has been saving it's show position and turning back on to Show 7 instead of resetting to show 0 all the time. Bottom line USER ERROR by me the idiot :) I have been a DJ for a long time and feel confident about programming lights, but this one still baffles me- I don't know how I got it to work, but It does.

Just got this amazing light. As a mobile dj just starting out
Just got this amazing light. As a mobile dj just starting out, this is the light to have. You can get away with just using this one light. Amazing laser, fantastic coverage, great programs. As a mobile dj, the only other thing I might need is a mirrored ball. This light is very well built, extremely easy to operate, great colors, sharp patterns. The price tag is well worth it. There are some pretty cool things out there for less than 100 bucks, but why buy a bunch of okay lights when you can buy 1 amazing light? Watch all the demos, then add up what the costs are for what you get, then make your decision. That's what I did and it paid off. I actually liked the looks of this one vs, the Stinger II, which is a great light as well, just liked the patterns on this one better.

it died after 4 uses
it was a nice product while it lasted WHICH WAS ONLY 3 DAYS. On the 4th day which is when I needed it the most, it never worked. I tried changing the fuse, and still won't work, I don't think it's worth it to put any more money into this. so I'll take it as a loss.

Big and bright!
The only problem I have with this awsum light is that it's big and bright and too much for the smaller clubs I work unless I pole it up high and aim it down on the dancefloor. Now for outdoor and bigger venue's, this is perfect and pretty much all with a few other effects I have. I highly recommend it.

Cool Lights, Hot LED's, watch out for failing LED diodes.
The ADJ Stinger STI 960s are cool lights that work well standalone or with a DMX controller. You get LED motion with 6 LED's as well as a green and red laser, topping it off 8 white strobe's. A great addition for any DJ or band. However, these light fixtures weren't designed with longevity in mind. I have owned a pair of these fixtures for guess how long - 2 years and 2 months. That means they are 2 months out of warranty and, it seems that's about the time that the LED diodes give up and die (green and pink go first). Both of them stopped giving out green light after about 100 or so hours of use (I don't use these fixtures very often). I ended up attempting to repair this myself and found that indeed, the diodes had given up the ghost and needed replacement. It isn't easy to find 5watt LED's that are the same spec as the original. Some sites sell them, but they are not exactly the same. You can find all the LED's for sale together for about 40$ ready to go mounted to the board, so just be ready once your's start to go, to go that route. LED Diodes of this brightness generate a good deal of heat, and are prone to fail if they exceed their thermal tolerances. I can see they mounted these LED's directly on the PCB w/o any heat sync. They did use some paste to attempt to hold them there, but the heat will build and lead to early failure sooner than the MTBF (50,000 hours), especially if you run all LED's at once for prolonged periods of times (it does look cool). So know what your getting with these fixtures. They are cool / fun / cheap, but, you might be looking at some repairs not long after you fire them up, especially if you intend to run these anyplace warm, and drive all 6 colors simultaneously for extended periods of time.

Excellent fixture, I used these at each side of ...
Excellent fixture, I used these at each side of the stage apron on a 12 ft light stand along with an ADJ Agressor. What an outrageous light pattern! A lot of bang for the buck. These did the trick for the Finale!

Great light.
Work great, like having 3 separate lights, just wish there were a few more options for the auto sound mode.
