Footprint Insole Technology Gamechangers Custom Orthotic FP Insoles

Great for walking all day but does throw off my running a little bit with some weird knee and ankle pains. maybe my running biomechanics / pronations aren't a good fit for this kind of tech

I've now used these for a few skate sessions in my vans pro sk8 hi shoes. I've come to the conclusion that these soles are just a marketing gimmick. While yes, I've seen the demo vids and do agree that the it's interesting technology, I don't believe a shoe insole, or at least this implementation, is the right application. Future iterations of the product may change my mind, but these specific soles are a step down from the stock insoles in my shoes.My main complaints:1) They are much thinner than stock vans pros insoles. The result is less cushioning. In a way this might be a good thing for some scenarios(i.e. you can feel the skateboard better), but the tradeoff is a less plush overall experience. The claim is that the tech foam provides superior cushioning, especially when landing tricks and on large drops, but in my experience this just isn't the case. The non-tech cushioning of my stock insoles did a much better job protecting the soles of my feet than the FP insoles did. Big drops, primos...etc - none of these felt any better with the FP insoles than my stock insoles, and at the end of the session, my feet were just as fatigued, if not more. IMHO they just don't perform as advertised, and non-skating comfort is degraded.2) The custom molding process didn't seem to actually mold anything. In product videos I've seen, when heated in the oven in preparation for molding, the foam was described as "swelling" so that it better captured the imprint of your foot and led to a custom fit. This didn't happen. After the recommended temp and time in my oven(measured witih 2 oven thermometers for accuracy), the insoles had not swelled at all. And after wearing for 30 minutes, the shape of the molded insole was no different from the unmolded pair that I purchased for my wife. It's possible that I got a defective pair. I'm reluctant to shell out more $$ to see if I got a defective pair, but if, for some reason, I have the opportunity to try again and see a difference, I will update this review accordingly.If you're using these for other purposes or to replace insoles in shoes other than vans pros, YMMV, but based on my experience, I wouldn't expect much.

My feet are happy going to work all day in these. Switch em out and put them in my skate shoes! Good impact. Good board feel! I recommend these for anyone with back and knee aches or just for a great upgrade their insoles

I have flat arches.i prefer the plain flat version... and eliminates the oven step (ie. to mold the insole).i use them for tennis.they are awesome.my body thanks me, especially after playing on hard courts for any significant amount of time.

Took a little while to get them. These are firm and stiff, and comfortable. Great arch support. I was injured on the ball of my foot, and there is a pad there to absorb impact there in the sole, great feature.

Very prompt shipping and everything as described. Boyfriend and I love them at the skatepark and he wears them everyday. Do wish there was more size options on Amazon.

these are AMAZING. I have severe overpronation in both ankles and these have helped me heal while allowing me to wear non-orthopedic shoes.

Mixed with my skytops, I don't think I will be rolling my ankle any time soon
