JBL Sub 550P High-Performance 10" Powered Subwoofer Sealed Enclosure with Built-in 300-Watt RMS Amplifier

This little beauty is now my favorite purchase for my home theater. I am a bit deaf in one ear so I need to feel my movies/games/music to really enjoy them. JBL has made this possible for a very reasonable price. I have had a PSW 10 for about a year and I do love that sub, for the price. But it cannot handle much "low" bass without port noise. I decided I wanted something to fill in the low end so I went out and bought a Dayton Audio Sub-1500. This is great because the 15 can really move some air in them low frequencies . I do like this quite a bit , but I still wasnt getting that consistent feel of the sounds . Enter the JBL ES250PBK. From the moment I set this up , I had a smile on my face.One of those perma grins you get from hooking up with someone you really like for the first time. I had a hard time watching Guardians of the Galaxy because I kept looking over with doe eyes at this sub and sighing with a smile . With music it hits the notes it should with a decent punch ,but the extended bass is what turns this into a daytime only sub for my house. Ive got the gain just a little over half and from the basement it shakes wall boards on all three levels. I can feel the bass on my front porch, and even in my attached garage. Paired with the 15 , is ridiculous. So when all the kids and wife are asleep , I have to turn off the JBL and "suffer "through having to watch TV with only a 15 going. I paid 199 for mine , but after having it for a bit , I dont think I would have been disappointed if I'd have paid twice that. My summary : If you like good stuff you should buy.sound go boom vury nice.

Originally had a Klipsch Synergy 10inch down firing 200watt Subwoofer and 2 Sony SSF-7000 tower speakers and sold everything to start all over again. I spent about a year researching SOOOOO many different types of tower speakers and sub woofers and when it finally came down to purchasing I went with Polk Audio Monitor 70 Series ii Towers and the JBL ES250P. All i can say is that i am sooo happy that i went with this subwoofer. I was minutes away from buying the POLK P505 12inch woofer when something in my gut told me to check out JBL. MAN was i happy i did when i stumbled uppon a 400 watt rms 700 watt peak front firing woofer. I pulled the trigger and bought it sight unseen and unheard. When it arrived i was stunned by how freaking huge the box was and how heavy it was. I was like a kid on XMAS day ripping though the tape and packaging to see this beautiful sub woofer. I set everything up in my living room and had my receiver (Denon X2000 , which is also an amazing piece of A/V equipment) do the Audyssey sound adjustments for my space. Let me add that my set up is mostly Music and some movies and tv , movies it sounded really good with but WOW did it do justice on music !!! I listen to everything (and i mean everything) but mostly Rock and Rap and believe me this will shake your stuff around and make your neighbors MAD. ( two days after setting everything up i was getting letters on my door saying cops will be called if i dont turn my music down lol )..........I will say i was a little skeptical about that it was 400 watts cause my 200 watt klipsch woofer hit alot harder. Well with a little invesitgating and fine tunring on my settings on the receiver it had turned the woofer waaaaaay down. So like any good music lover i had to turn it up to see what this sub could really do. JESUS this thing just gave me a whole new love and respect for it !!!! To make a long story short I am in love with this woofer because of its performance and look. I am also very happy with my Polk Audio Monitor 70 ii but just a little curious about what it would be like if i went with some JBL Towers.......Wont turn down any free ones if JBL would like to send me some

I love this sub!!! I've had it exactly 1 year. I have it paired with a Polk Audio Center (CS20) and Polk Audio floor speakers (TSI-500) and yamaha satellite surround speakers and my home theater sounds absolutely amazing thanks to this sub!! I know that JBL makes great quality subwoofers so I decided to give it a try. People are so impressed with this sub even in my basement with a cement floor this thing pounds my couch. Watching the scene from Iron Man 3 where the helicopters destroyed Tony Starks house is one of the best in-home theater scenes I've ever experienced. It feels like I'm there. As far as music goes, it performs fairly well. I haven't noticed any extremely muddy bass like some subwoofers I've owned in the past. However, I had heard it in some songs. I don't really use it for music listening too much but when I do, I don't have any major complaints. The lows are amazing and it has shaken plenty of pictures off the walls in my house. lol. I listen to mainly hip/hop & R&B. Keep in mind that it's a fairly large subwoofer so you're not going to be hiding it behind your couch or in the corner of your room. It's made to be seen and OH MY GOD it's made to be heard!!

First of all, this subwoofer is MASSIVE. I never assumed it would be anywhere near this big. I've seen lots of subs in lots of stores, and most of them are roughly a foot cubed, some a little bigger. This thing is eighteen inches deep, wide and high. It's BIG. And it sounds even bigger. I use it as a omni-directional sub in my home theater, and I've had to completely revamp a bunch of decorative item displays around the room and house to quiet the sudden cacophony of buzzes and rattles this booming sub induces whenever there's a good LFE moment in a movie. Awesome, awesome sub for the money, and I'd buy another one in a New York minute. The sub was well packaged, lots of padding, but the box was in pretty sorry shape. Though whether that's a product of it's originating factory's slipshod job of taping it, or the package courier's rough and careless handling, I couldn't tell you. Either way, though, the sub arrived undamaged inside it's heavily worn and beaten box, and bumps like a NASCAR driver with too much Rubbing on his brain. This thing makes my theater recliners scoot imperceptibly across the floor as the movie goes on. Just STUNNING bass. Get one. Right now.

タイトルの通りなので購入される方は注意しましょう。 日本で発売されているJBLの別のウーハーの説明書を参考に設置しました。 先ずでかいし重いです(゜ロ゜)ﾏｼﾞﾃﾞ 現在８０Hz上限でウーハーの低音域を調整して使っていますがスピーカーシステムのボリュームをかなり抑えても爆発音やアニメのOPEDなど共営住宅の壁が破壊されそうなほどしっかり低音を鳴らしてくれます。 マンションなどではきっと宝の持ち腐れになるでしょう。 このウーハーの全力を引き出すには一軒家でも防音処置してないと厳しいかもしれません。 しかしながら靴の足音などしっとりと響いて艶やかで音全体が上品に纏まり購入して大満足です＼(^o^)／ 正規代理店ではサポートは現状受けられませんが(日本でも販売してくれないかな(;'д｀))
