An excellent replacement for can lights.
These are expensive relative to LED bulbs, but they are worth it. I replaced older 2700k LED flood lamp bulbs which made our antique white cabinets look pink, especially when dimmed. The 3500k versions of this replacement lamp now very accurately render colors in our kitchen, unlike the less expensive version of the Cree lights (compare the CRI ratings). They also dim as advertised, not dimming slightly then going off like typical LED bulbs. I did have an issue getting the trim rings flush against the ceiling as mentioned in other reviews, and twisting the arms as suggested in those other reviews didn't work for me. The problem is that the builder grade recessed can lights push up as you try to seat the Cree fixture. I ended up using duct tape. Placing a strip of tape on the inside of the can that flexed the most and leaving a few inches hanging down. I was now able to pull down on the recessed can while pressing up on the lamp housing. Once seated, the tape cleanly tears away on the metal edge of the can light. Note that these are noticeable whiter than conventional bulbs. If you like a warm look, this bulb is not for you. You can special order color temperatures from 2700 to 5000k.
