The design is very minimalist. I have one to carry a Streamlight Scorpion. Because of the Scorpion's slightly thicker rubberized barrel coating, there is initially a LOT of friction when inserting or removing the flashlight from this loop. Since I'm not going to be in foot pursuits, hopping fences, like the folks in blue do, the fit won't need to be that tight for me. Without a rubber-coated barrel it would be perfect, but I like rubber barrels for traction in my hand.What I did was push the head of the flashlight into the loop to stretch it out a little bit larger, left it for a while, then took the light out, inserted it in the other end of the loop, and pushed the head of the light in that end and let it sit for a little while.
