Size:3/16" Plastazote is a closed cell, cross-linked polyethylene foam. A wide range of polymer combinations is available to give increased stiffness, improved temperature resistance and improved moldability. Applications include packaging, protective padding in contact sports, automotive, health care and construction. The inert qualities of Plastazote have led to its widespread use in healthcare products, such as orthotics. A range of densities is available including soft LD45, stiff LD70 and rigid HD110. Plastazote foams are engineered to offer superior performance at a lighter weight. The absence of any chemical agents in the foam and a consistency of cell structure and density allows Plastazote to remain the world's lightest cross-linked foam. Plastazote also makes crafting and costume design fun and easy by its heat moldability, its propensity for maintaining a shape, and for its comfort as a lining material.

Cushion for sore feet
If you suffer from sore feet, you can cut this to the shape of your shoe insert and lay them on top, really adds some serious cushioning, better than any store-bought insoles I've bought. It's not super long-lived but every so often I cut out a new pair. A little baby powder helps them slip into your shoes and your feet slip in on top of them. Have been using this for years, love it.

Help for Happier Feet!
Have an uncomfortable or too hard orthotic? A shoe with removable insole but unfinished feel without it? Replace it with a 1/8th- thick piece of plastizote cut to size. Tho it's pricey, for sure, you'll have a comfy cushion and enough for every pair of shoes, especially those high-heel pumps. Used to work for a podiatrist and patients loved this stuff!

I don't know who invented it but this stuff really works well for insoles. Takes all the pressure off from the feet. Happy feet really neat.

You want this stuff for insoles
This stuff? Amazing for insoles. AMAZING. It's huge, you can get a ton from one sheet. It's ridiculously comfortable. Got a pair of shoes that's a smidge too big? Cut a rectangle and rubber cement into the back of your shoe. Works a treat, no more blisters!
