I bought this several months ago after the original one broke after then years of use. It took about an hour to replace the broken cable, about half of that was head scratching time. After doing it once I could do it again in a half hour. It took me a while to realize that there were two screws under the battery box. 1) Remove the cowling. 2) Lift the fuel tank out of the way. 3) Remove the battery box. 4) Remove the three black lag screws that hold the belt cowling. 5) Flip the mower on its side and remove the blade and final screw that hold the cowling in place. 6) Remove the cowling, tinker with it till you get it out. 7) Remove the nut and washer form the nylon block that anchors the cable and remove it from the cable. 8) Remove the cable. Everything goes together just like it came apart. I lubed the cable before installing it. I think lack of lubrication is why the original cable failed. I took pictures of everything while I was taking it apart, glad I did. In that this part is exactly the same as the one I removed I have no reason to believe that it won't last ten years or more.

Fits as advertised. Remember to drain most of the fuel before working and to adjust the cable before putting it all together.

Cable was a fit for my model 20333. With a little help from YouTube, was able to install it in a little under an hour and mowed with it right after with no problems. It worked as it did before the old cable broke. Fast shipping too! Thanks!

I use this product to replace the replace the OEM broken cable it works perfect you have to pay close attention that that your adjustments areset or it will snap. If you go to engage lever and see it bending at plastic piece STOP and make adjustment.!

Does not fit Toro Timemaster 30” it’s to short

This was the third cable ordered be cause the other two were aftermarket and wouldn’t work. This one fit because I went to another website and got the correct part number. Went back to amazon ordered it got it within three days.

I used this for 2 months in the fall of 2021 and stored the mower in a shed over the winter. Just started up the mower on May 21st 2022 and the top plastic portion of the cable snapped.

The plastic end that connects to the brake bar, bent on second use. It’s now really hard to switch into cut because I have to hold the plastic end down while activating the throttle. A metal or thicker plastic shaft would have been much better.The rubber seal is also very hard install. Should have gone with a tapered plug seal.

As a replacement, true to the original part length. Minor but my only complaint is that it would helpful to include the locking cap for the end of the cable that attaches at the handle. To remove the old cable you need to remove the cap and it is pressed fit on, so it's a bit mangled. Including a new cap with the cable would help. Otherwise, good replacement.

Poorly made. The plastic mount that connects to the lawnmower is very weak and simply breaks under pressure. Installed the cable and it snapped after the third use.

This cable saved me at least 25.00. And its the exact same thing as the Toro model. Very happy, got my mower running in no time!
