Very nice and heavy duty side steps! Installation is a bit of a POA as others have stated. Better eat your Wheaties and some spinach before tackling this job. My only gripe is that the manufacturer should include a few extra bolts since they tend to strip easily if you don't apply a great deal of pressure while turning the bolts the first few turns to get them started good. If you let up on the inward pressure before it has a chance to really grab, it will strip. I found out the hard way. Using cutting oil on the threads helps. An impact wrench helps even more! I contacted the manufacturer and they were more than happy to send out some extra bolts to replace the stripped ones. Great service! Once installed the steps are solid and look awesome!!

These things are great, but the self-tapping bolts they give you are terrible. After stripping a few, and getting two stuck in the frame, I found this and they made the rest of the install a piece of cake. Do yourself a favor and buy this drill bit, it will drill and tap the hole for you. Apparently the days of buying a product and expecting to receive it without any problems however small are long gone. I spent hours searching for and researching bumpers and decided on this one. It arrived well before the expected date. Good. It looks just like the picture. Good. It’s SUPER sturdy and well made. Good. It came in a sturdy well supported box and packaged well with clear simple instructions. Good. So what’s the problem? On the very very edge of the pointed part of the bumper the black protective coating had been scraped off and was even slightly rusty looking indicating it was sitting like this for some time. The worst part is there was no damage to the box on either end SO THAT MEANS the company selling this bumper thinks it’s ok to send someone a damaged bumper for almost $400. Now I did not reach out to the company mainly because I do not want to have to repackage it, drag the 100 POUND bumper to the post office, wait two weeks for it to get returned and processed, and then another two weeks+ to receive a new one..... the damage is small but it’s besides the point. If it’s damaged in your warehouse DON’T SHIP IT TO A CUSTOMER, NO MATTER HOW SMALL! Like seriously what the heck. Apparently spending five seconds to look it over is too much to ask. Anyways my jeeps all banged up anyways so the bumper will fit right in but again it’s besides to point. Also the mounting holes don’t line up and so new ones will have to be drilled but that’s not a big deal to me at least. Very very happy with the bumper but very unhappy with the company that sent it to me. Two stars for this reason only. Had it arrived without the damage it would be 5 stars. And hey if someone from tyger auto wants to literally drive to my house with a new bumper and pickup the damaged one I’ll change my rating but I find that highly unlikely.

We are very pleased with the Tyger side steps. The textured finished has nice look and provides better traction. These bars fit our Jeep Wrangler perfectly. It's definitely a two person job. We used a set of Jack stands which was a big help. The included hardware worked as it should and steps seem very solid. Even with my 260 lbs.

Ive had these side rails for a while now, they are absolutly awesome, they have had their fair share of smacks but so far no dents, i have had paint chips but thats to be expected. Just dont trust the factory bolts. I had my rails welded onto my jeep for extra support. Also they dont affect ground clearance as bad as I thought, i only lost a quarter of an inch of clearance, but if you have a lift or leveling kit thats no problemUpdate: had it for 2 years now and still doing its job well! I did have a rust issue and that was due to the fact that I didnt properly paint the welds and bolts before and after assembly. Nonetheless the bumper is amazingly doing well in protecting my doors ! Awesome product! A little tough to install. I had the factory board on the TJ and you have to drill holes in your frame to install these because it’s longer than where the female studs are for the factory boards. Here’s a couple tips to help you install...1. Grind off all your rust and prime and paint the frame prior to installing.2. Use two stands to hold bar up to frame when marking holes. I installed these by myself and they were a HUGE help!3. Drill one hole on either the front or back (your choice) and install the self tapping screw semi tight. Then do all four of the opposite side and then go back to the original side you did one screw on. Makes it easier to make sure the step is level.4. Have a can of spray rust preventer on hand to spray each hole after drilling and before you place the self tapping screw.Great product and I think they will last for years!

Use a powerful drill to get the self tappers to bite into the frame after drilling them out. Bring your jack stands to put it on so you can mark the holes on the frame. This unit is awkward to use to get in for a stock height TJ with 33s. It’s just a little too high of a step to enter the door way. But I’m 6’3”. Works ok fir my 5’3” wife. Get roll bar pull handles though.

Excellent for the price. Very heavy duty, thick wall tubing. They do require drilling the frame to mount, but after watching videos that use body mount locations to bolt on I figured those might flex with the rubber bushings. People mention welding after. If you apply enough pressure to the bolt when self tapping it will thread perfectly. I used red loctite so they are not backing out without heat from a torch.Much easier entry now with a 4 inch lift and 33 inch tires. Even when wet the textured surface gives a grip that helps against slipping.

This is an excellent option if you're on a budget. Well built and fits perfectly. Comes with light bar and license plate mounts. 10/10. Happy costumer
