Is it odd to think I've never owned an outdoor extension cord until this point in my life? Well it's true. I never put much thought into it until I needed one. What length should I buy? What Gauge? What company? Lots of things to think about. So after doing a ton of research, this was the power cord I went with. Let me give any reader some pointers:1) Don't buy above 50ft. They are awkward to roll and store. 50ft is the perfect length. Need longer, buy two and daisy chain them. Makes a lot more sense vs. buying a super long one and having to break it out for smaller jobs.2) Buy a 14/3 gauge. Yes they make smaller and larger shielded ones, but for average yard work, or unknown usage in the future so to speak 14/3 is the way to go. It falls right in the middle between the overly thick and very thin. Will work for almost all projects for the average home owner and you won't have to think twice.3) Learn from this post, I've done the research for you. The reviews on this cord are solid, plus when comparing / contrasting against the others, this stood out to be the best for me. I only bought 1 for now, but will be buying another.Overall, this is my first outdoor extension cord and I am extremely happy with my purchase. Solid product and I'm very happy with my purchase.

I got this because the SunJoe electric mower required a 14/3 extension cord and only had a 16/3, so I waited to use it until I got this. As soon as it arrived I connected it to my SunJoe mower and it started up no problem. It had no hiccups and I was able to mow my yard with zero issues. And it's the perfect length for my yard. So far it's a win from me.

I measured the extension cord and it came out to be more than two inches LESS than 50 feet including the metal prongs on both sides. The manufacture should make the product be AT LEAST 50 feet, but my opinion is that they want to pocket the pennies saved on each unit. That adds up to a lot of money and copper savings across thousands of units.Also, the picture of the full item appears to be a bright red and off black, when in reality the item is clearly orange and green. A decent picture is not hard to do. The second picture showing the lighted end shows a touch of the orange and green, but that is not the focus of the picture.The item was returned.

I use this for what I need to do in the front yard with my truck. Having one cord with the right thickness looks better than 12 ft cords linked together!

I needed a certain sort of heavy-duty extension cord for my nifty little wood chipper. This model fit the bill and was the best price. (PS: The wood chipper is the bomb! Mucho mulch!)

Needed this cord to light the spotlight for our Christmas decorations. It’s the perfect length and sturdiness.
