Easy to use - traps moisture
My 60gal Husky puts out a lot of moisture. I was getting ready to spray Raptor Liner for 2 dodge truck beds so I needed an easy to introduce solution that would catch the last bits of moisture that escapes my in-line 3/8” filter. After a some research I bought this 1/4” Air Filter Dryer and it worked flawlessly. The filter was just the right size that by the time I was done with spraying one bed the desiccate was ready to be changed. I was initially worried it would add unwanted weight and offset the balance of my gun but that was not the case. It is extremely lightweight. Very satisfied with the filter.

Works as intended
Attached inline with an automobile paint sprayer. Helps to keep any water vapor that might be left in the airline after going through other filters

Works best for low-flow, light/hobby use.
This is well made and works as advertised. That being said, it only holds 9 grams of dessicant (about a half an ounce in volume). It goes pink incredibly fast even under light use. But it most certainly does work. I have no quibbles with the product, but would suggest anyone who needs more than very small flow rates should investigate a larger solution. Note also that this same trap is available from Horror Fright on-line at less than half the price. I would suggest getting a pound of dessicant to feed this thing, because stopping in the middle of a project to regenerate the dessicant (a 2-hour process at 250F) isnt likely to make anyone warm and fuzzy. In contrast you can pull this apart with a wrench and recharge it with new beads in just a minute or two. Easy peasy. Update: July 19, 2020: Believe it or not, you can regenerate the dessicant beads in the microwave. Not kidding. Dump the beads into a shot glass (pyrex is ideal) and microwave on full power for 15 secs. Wipe the condensation from the sides of the glass with a paper towel. Repeat 4-5 times or until the beads are a dark blue. Works amazingly well and it gives a very graphic visual example of how much water these beads can absorb. After a dozen regneration cycles, discard the beads and replace with fresh.

Hard to take apart the first time
Good quality works great the only thing is the first time you try to take them apart it is a pain they are so tight and you can just use plyers got to use a belt on it to get anuff grip but they do come apart

Compact, durable and functional.
We added this filter to our small air compressor to dry the air going to our air tools and it works great. You can easily see when the absorption beads need changing and they are easy to change.

Works.
Don't know why amazon is asking about thickness and sheerness , but, as an inline air filter, with replaceable media, it works exactly as it's intended to.
