Incredible value
Comparable to the small rig free blazer tripod, but this Cayer tripod is actually build really well. The FluidHead is well designed with smooth panning and tilt, the bracket is nice with a built in hex screwdriver too! Different handles with different lengths all come with the tripod along with a nice soft case. The carbon fiber legs are smooth and the feet are sturdy. The opening and closing of legs is also really nice, just a twist of one knob on each leg and you can freely adjust the height to a pretty usable level. Overall would definitely recommend! Was worried at first since I haven't heard much about Cayer, but this is definitely a sleeper tripod!

Great value on a lightweight tripod with a smooth fluid head
I shoot with a few different cameras from a Mirrorless Lumix to the Panasonic UX-90 pictured here. I was using some old Gitzo legs and Miller head that I've had for years, but were just getting too heavy and too difficult to maintain. I saw this one and it good-to-great revues and it was in a comfortable price point - so I thought I'd try it out.It is very light-weight with the carbon fiber legs. The carbon fiber is sturdy, but still just a bit flexible. The mid-point mounted spreader helps with the stability. The spiked feet with the BIG rubber covers for floors are great. But I saved the best for last. The fluid head. I really didn't expect something so smooth for a $200 tripod. The ball mount is easy to adjust with the large, triangular handle. The quick-release plate is very stable ... no play in it once you tighten it in. But the movement is VERY smooth. Pan and tilt are extremely silky and the motion locks engage without adding excess movement to your shot. And once locked, hold the camera firmly in place. Very pleased with this purchase. Also, shipped quickly from Amazon.

Unbelievable value for the money. Ordered another one the day the first one arrived.
I spent many years shooting docs and other television programming with $6K Sachtler tripods owned by my employers at the time. Then, when I started my own rural production company, I had to think smaller budget-wise. so bought some $700 Manfrotto tripods that have served me well. I recently acquired more cameras and needed some additional sticks, but wanted to further reduce spending without significantly compromising quality and feel -- if at all possible. Reviews convinced me to have a look at this Cayer BV25LH tripod. It arrived today and I'm relieved to see and feel that it's perfectly fine for my production purposes. Of course it's not as solid and substantial as tripods costing three to 30 times as much, but this tripod is nicely designed and constructed, and functions great, INCLUDING pan and tilt head, which is smooth and adjustable. The quick releases plate works fine. The legs extend HIGHER than any other tripod I've used, and the handles, while I think they should be longer, are adequate and well made. The soft case is good too. So, I was impressed enough upon this first inspection and testing functions, that I ordered another one. I'll update this review if I discover anything I don't like about this tripod. In the meantime, don't hesitate to buy one of these for your production needs. Especially if you're operating on a budget that places the brand names out of fiscally-responsible reach.

Very good alternate or primary tripod.
My other primary tripod raises the camera on an adjustable height center post. The Cayer has a ball mount which helps with uneven ground and is the first reason why I purchased it. The second reason is the choice of flat feet or spikes on the ground. The easy extension and retraction of the legs is the third. My negative is that the product listing photo shows two pan handles. Other Cayer tripods with the same head listed show only one. That's why I thought I would receive two. Only one came in the package. That would have been my forth reason, but resulted in a four star review. The build looks good and I like the carry weight. I'm only in the testing stage, but all seems to work well. The pan head seems to perform function close to my Manfroto 502 and makes a great second camera platform. The build quality isn't quite as good but, still, very good. The tripod seems very stable but may need some weights under certain conditions. Depending on my needs, this may be my primary tripod. Time will tell.

Sturdy and smooth-panning tripod for heavier camera gear
For years, I was using the cheaper plastic tripods. They take a beating due to all the traveling to shows, etc. I still use them for holding my cell phone. But I got this Cayer BV25LH Video tripod when I needed something sturdier with float head to use with my new film making rig. The carbon fiber offers stiffness without being overly heavy. It comes with a nice and convenient carry bag which makes transport easy. The tripod head action is smooth and does what I want without play or jiggle. It comes with two handles for controlling the tripod head - I suppose it provides better control while panning or tilting. I've also attached a shorter slider on top of the tripod and it works fine maintaining stability. Overall, I recommend the tripod since it is budget friendly compared to other options and provides good functionality - everything you need a pro heavy duty tripod to do.

Outstanding carbon fiber tripod. Outstanding value.
I’ve owned a lot of tripods over the years (primarily Manfrotto), and this is now one of my favourites.I wasn’t expecting to like it, honestly, but I needed an inexpensive B-cam tripod that would be light enough to travel with, and this fit the bill. If I didn’t like it, I figured I could give it away at the end of this travel shoot. At that price, you aren’t risking much. They massively overdelivered on this one. It’s a solid build. Lightweight. Easy to use. Super stable. Super smooth head. Lots of options for configuration.I’m buying another for A-cam, it’s that good.
