Yet another amazing DuPont product!
Wow! This is absolutely outstanding. Very free flowing seems thinner than water. Boy does one tiny drop work wonders! it seems to wet metal surfaces instantly and a drop placed of the sole of a wood plane and wiped off is all that is needed to make that plane cut effortlessly, seemingly without friction. This stuff is absolutely amazing. The bottle does not say anything about preventing rust, but the way it adheres to steel and cast iron surfaces suggests it might. I have always used paste wax on the cast iron table of my table saw but when I used just a few drops of this DuPont silicone lubricant and then wiped the table with a rag it seemed to almost instantly make the top nonstick without leaving noticeable oiliness on the surface. This is truly amazing stuff. I guess it is the boron nitride nano particles in it that make the surface seem like it is covered with microscopic ball bearings. Time will tell how this stuff holds up but so far it's been absolutely amazing!!! This is coming from the same chemical company that invented Nylon, Neoprene, Tyvek, Teflon, Freons, the first really great water based exterior paints (Lucite), Raindance car "wax", etc. etc. (DuPont later sold some of these brand names.) This Dupont lubricant seems to be yet another breakthrough DuPont product. It's just amazing. It's just a small plastic squeeze bottle, but one tiny drop goes a long way. It's amazing how this lubricant seems to be pulled into every crack and crevice of metal mechanisms. I put one drop into my backdoor lock that was sticking a bit and a drop on each hinge and now the droor shuts and locks itself seemingly with no effort at all. This stuff is magical! The only thing DuPont could have improved on would be the hard to work childproof cap. Like so many of the products using these annoying caps, it is hard to push down with enough force to get it to grip and still be able to turn it because of it's small diameter. Despite the lousy bottle cap, this is simply an amazing product! I can't recommend it too highly.

A handy little bottle of problem-solver
A handy little bottle of problem-solver This DuPont Silicone Lubricant comes in a simple 4-oz squeeze bottle, and it has already proven itself useful around the house and garage. The silicone formula is clear and non-staining, which makes it safe to use on a wide range of surfaces without worrying about a mess. I tried it on squeaky door hinges, a sticky sliding window, and even a stiff garden tool – all of them moved more smoothly within minutes. I like that it doesn’t leave behind an oily or greasy residue, so I don’t have to worry about attracting dust or dirt. The squeeze bottle gives you control, allowing you to apply just a drop or a thin line right where it’s needed, unlike spray cans that sometimes oversaturate an area. It’s also small enough to store in a toolbox or kitchen drawer for quick access. Things to keep in mind: because it’s a small bottle, heavy or frequent users might run through it quickly. It’s best suited for targeted lubrication jobs rather than large applications. Also, the silicone formula is great for plastic, rubber, and metal, but it’s not designed as a heavy-duty penetrant for rusted bolts – for that, you’d still want a penetrating oil. Bottom line: a versatile, mess-free lubricant that’s perfect for everyday household and DIY fixes. If you want something that works quietly and cleanly without the spray-can fuss, this little squeeze bottle is a smart addition to your toolkit.

Good product, crappy straw dispenser falls out to easily
Used for exercise bike, squeaky office chair and door hinges. 1. Silicone based spray lubricant. 2.Works well 3. Applicator nozzle for straw has very short distance. You have to shove it on really hard. Will fall off into in any crevices. (Only major complaint of product as most of my applications are in small spaces) 4. Smells, but much so less than WD40 ( I can smell WD 40 from 10ft away for hours after application; while in the same time span for similar application you have to be inches away to smell it) 5. Was recommended lubricant from exercise bike MFR 6. Cheap, but I wish they all sold a smaller size as I only use this stuff for small projects

Great for old wood drawer glides.
I have a huge very old case piece taller than I am and 73” long full of large drawers. It once was storage in a local high school chem lab. I use it in my sewing room. The old wood drawers rest and glide on old wood. It was rough getting mist of the drawers open. So, I did a lot of research and Decided to get this Teflon spray. This stuff works where bar soap, wax and all the other things did not.

Buy this now!
We LOVE this product. We use it on our sliding glass doors and our vinyl windows. It works immediately to reduce friction and noise. This is our 3rd time purchasing. Won't buy anything else because the quality is so good!

perfect for when you would use oil - but can't!
I was confused by all the different non-oil lubricating sprays available, so I purchased a variety and tested them out to compare them against one another. I found that they all have different properties and are best suited for different applications. My testing was simple. I sprayed all the lubricants for an equal amount of time over an equal area of aluminum foil. I then monitored them all over a period of a week indoors at an ambient temperature of around 20C. Then I applied 100 grams of force to each test area and subjectively assessed the amount of reduced friction. (see photos) DuPont Silicone Surface Safe Lubricant. This contains silicone, Teflon, and ceramic boron. It remained fully liquid, thin, and runny even after a week. This seems ideal in situation where you have parts that require a liquid lubricant such as bearings, etc. Best to use this in situations where you would usually use oil, but when you cannot use oil-based products. DuPont Chain-Saver Dry Lubricant. This is a molybdenum and Teflon wax-based lubricant. This remained fully liquid, very thick and waxy after a week. This is formulated for bike chains, and I can see why. Ideal for mechanical parts that must engage and disengage repetitively. Another possible use might be for zippers or similar fasteners. DuPont Multi-Use High-Performance Lubricant. This contains Teflon and silicone. This is essentially a compromise between all the other lubricant sprays. It stays liquid and wet after a week, but is not a lubricating as the others, not as non-stick as the others, and not as friction-reducing as the others. If you can only have one bottle of non-oil lubricant spray, this is a good choice, but it is not the best at any one thing. Basically, like the WD-40 of silicone sprays. Super Lube 91110 Silicone Spray. After a week, leaves a very thin, nearly dry surface, incredibly slippery with the best friction-reducing properties of all the sprays I tried. Wonderful! Also, this is H1 food grade safe (ok for use in equipment used in contact with food). If you need to reduce friction on long rail and track mechanisms with minimal tackiness that might attract dust, this seems ideal! Super Lube 11016 Dri-Film Lubricant. After a week, leaves a dry surface, rather slippery in reducing friction and rather non-stick. This is also H1 food grade safe (ok for use in equipment used in contact with food). If you must have a fully dry film lubricant, this is my favorite! DuPont Non-Stick Dry-Film Lubricant. After a week, leaves a dry opaque white film. Not really slippery or lubricating against friction, but entirely non-stick. Essentially like Teflon PTFE in a can. In situations where you want a non-stick coating like PTFE, but using Teflon tape, etc. is not an option, this seems like an excellent choice.
