I haven’t gotten a chance to use this yet since I just got it not too long ago, but the coagulator packets that it came with have been expired for 5 years.

very straightforward machine, easy to use
I mostly purchased this machine over the other brands because of it's square footprint- I figured it would be easier to store in the cabinet, on a countertop, on a shelf. Most other machines look like a thermos or carafe or coffee maker. I was super surprised at how big it was though! Wasn't expecting this machine to be nearly the size of my bread machine! Still works for me though because the output is large which we needed for this family of 5.Perhaps the best part about this machine (besides it's ease of use) is how much stuff comes with it! I was unaware that it would come with an okara strainer, complete tofu mold including cheesecloth, SEVERAL packets of tofu coagulant, bean measuring scoop, and wooden spatula! Also comes with very simple directions written in what I presume to be Korean in the first half and actual American English in the second half of the manual!Could not love this Koco Soymilk & Tofu maker any more!

Enjoyed the Koco Tofu/Soy Milk Maker
I really enjoyed this Koco Tofu/Soy Milk MakerHave used it half a dozen times now and its fairly straightforward to use.Came with lots of accessories and clear instructions on use.The maker is sturdy and looks well made. It is big though and does take up quite a bit of room on the counter. The amount of soy milk made each time is enough to fill a jug and works out well for me and my family. The sieve and pan for filter is a little cumbersome to use but the extraction of the soya bean milk is awesome. Its much the best soya milk maker I have tried so far. The tofu making process is also very simple and though my efforts at tofu making looks nowhere as nice as the ones shown on the video, it still tastes pretty good! It makes tofu which is somewhere between soft and medium firm in textureI would certainly recommend this product.

This is my favorite machine for the kitchen
It took me months of belaboring the purchase of yet another soymilk/tofu machine. My 1st machine is good, but half the size, more standard, with the result that I have to make 2 batches for enough soymilk to last a couple of days, and then yet another batch to make tofu! I was working for several hours, and then clean-up was messy on top of that. The Koco Tofu Machine has a 15-minute self-cleaning cycle, leaving very little hand work at the end. Along with the purchase of the Koco Silver Machine I received a measuring cup, a bamboo paddle. a very fine strainer and square catch bowl, cheesecloth & a mold to form the tofu. I have been purchasing coagulant packages from Livart, too. One packet makes one batch of tofu. With almost no effort I am making perfect tofu. Koco Silver makes better soymilk than my 1st machine. I am very happy that I researched Livart's Koco Silver tofu machine. It was well worth my effort. It is BPH free. (I called the company to confirm.) I hope to have this for some time. You can buy a less expensive machine, but you'll get less of a machine, too.Tip for making perfect tofu in 5 minutes: Square is the optimal bowl shape to set tofu, because the shape inhibits the motion of the liquid. Each packet of Livart's coagulant (purchased separately) contains the correct amount to make a batch of tofu. Sprinkle the coagulant on top of the soymilk already drained into the square bowl. From the outer edge of the center, ever so slowly, pull the paddle through the mixture and stop at the center. Do this to the opposite side, stopping at the center. The slow motion will ensure the curds do not break apart. If you find there are no obvious curds, place the mixture in the microwave for 30 seconds. Microwave for another 30 seconds if the curds do not appear. No microwave? Warm it in a pan on the stovetop, but it will take slightly longer.
