I'm concerned that these are knockoffs as they aren't as thick as the Chemex squares?** A: I’ve ordered these a couple of times and never had that happen. I’d definitely return them! As far as the thickness goes, I find that the Natural brown filters have always been a little thinner than the Bleached Prefolded ones. I refuse to pay that much. This morning I tried out this: I use a metal pour over coffee strainer and one No. 2 natural unbleached cone shaped coffee filter, Put the filter in the CM-1C first, put the metal strainer over it, which holds it in place, wet this set-up, put 2 level coffee scoops in, and pour water over until the water reaches the "button" on the glass. I compared the taste to the filter just made for the CM-1C and it tastes the same. You can find good quality No. 2 filters for way less than the branded filters! If the taste is the same, why buy these price-gouging filters. I'm sorry I bought the CM-1C now. I should have stuck with using the metal device plus No. 2 filters for pour over into a mug. **Q: Do these fit the chemex pour-over glass coffeemaker - classic series - 3-cup?** A: I have the smallest Chemex coffee pot which I believe is the 3 c and these filters fit. You have to fold them but I’ve tried other filters and they don’t work.
