Tesla Model 3 / Model Y Door Entry Protector (Model 3 Front)

Ok, so I reserve the right to edit this review after awhile, because i just installed these today, but so far so good. They look awesome and everyone taking delivery ought to install these. Seriously. Followed the directions exactly and they look like they're gonna stick just fine, so follow the directions first and foremost. Second, do the passenger side first, you'll get better at it after doing it once and the drivers side is most important anyway. Third, huge tip - used a TON of the soap solution during install. Don't worry about spraying on the carpet or whatever, use LOTS of liquid on the film, your hands and the sill itself. More than you think. I didn't use as much water on the passenger side and it went on Wayyyyy harder than the driver side. That's about it. Take a look at the pics to see proper positioning. Now let's see if it holds up to Florida heat and doesn't shrivel up or shrink. But right now it looks awesome and along with PPF, is first thing you should do after taking delivery of this most awesome vehicle!

I like the idea and it’s easy to install almost like a screen protector on a phone or tablet. The issue is that the product would not stick to the type of material on the Tesla model 3 floor board molding/entry. Followed instructions and couldn’t get it to adhere to the surface. Just peeled away. Disappointed because it’s a good idea.

Having a “newish” model 3, I purchased many do-dads to dress up the car. This simple to install sill protector is hands-down the best choice I’ve made. I only wish I had done it when the car was brand new. Thoroughly clean the sills, easy install, invisible (giving a satin finish to the sill) and now scuff resistant. We’ll see how durable they are, but so far they look great after 3 months. If they become ragged in a year or so, I’ll gladly replace them. Nice essential product, in my opinion.

Ad is a little misleading. I didn’t want clear tape I wanted like a plastic barrier. Sucks I got stuck with the return shipping but it is what it is. Picture doesn’t look like plastic adhesive.

I wish I installed this kit right after I got my Model 3.I’ve had my Model 3 for a couple months now and I already see some scratches on the door entry area of the driver side. I installed this kit for a couple of weeks now and there are no new scratches!The installation is very simple and it took me less than 5 minutes to install on each side.I am planning to keep my Model 3 for a long time and I think this is a must have for all the Model 3 Owners.

I got front and rear wraps for the door sill of my 2022 M3 AWD, easy to apply, no bubbles. The front is sticking OK and looks fine, but the back--which has to fit a curved corner--is peeling up after just a few months of use (first picture). In contrast, I bought a small roll of 3M PPF that you apply using an alcohol-water mix, and cut it myself to fit the front, and it is not moving--even the edges are flat (second picture). But it's glossy. I like the matte finish better, but the most important feature is that it actually, you know, stay on. So I'm getting another set of these for the rear, but just so I can use them as templates to cut my own 3M film to actually apply. Overall a ridiculously pricey solution to a simple problem.

just like most 3M protection film you wet the area, and strip with a solution. (provided in this kit) Easy to line up where you want it, and then smooth out the solution and air bubbles. perfectly cut strips.good kit for an area that constantly gets scuffs, worth the buy.

Worth it. Not very hard to install. I wish they had these for the back passenger doors sill and plastic under the seat by the door.
