Note: I also left this review on the page for the Chocolate version of this product.I was in the market for a new superfood supplement and ran across reviews for Amazing Grass. Previously I had been taking tablet forms of spirulina, chlorella, wheat grass, and barley grass, all of which made me gag briefly due to taste and texture. I knew the health benefits of those but honestly never felt much of an energy boost from them. I was hesitant about the idea of making a shake/smoothie every day but decided to give it a shot. Knowing I would probably hate the original grass version of Amazing Grass, I decided to order both the Chocolate and Berry flavors. I juice fresh fruit every morning so I decided to use the Berry in the morning and Chocolate in the afternoon. I make a juice cocktail of pineapple, apple, mango, peach, raspberry, grape, blueberry, blackberry, strawberry, and cranberry. Adding the Berry grass thickens it a bit, making it somewhat of a fruit smoothie. The fruits mask the taste of the Berry grass pretty well. I like the fact that Goji and Acai are included in the Berry blend. The Berry grass, along with an L-Tyrosine tablet and a DLPA tablet, has become my morning coffee substitute.Now for the Chocolate. I definitely like the flavor of the Chocolate grass better than the Berry (who doesn't love chocolate...). In the afternoon I mix up a shake of chocolate flavored soy protein, raw organic cacao powder, the Chocolate grass, and almond milk, and it tastes fantastic with no "grassy undertones" whatsoever. I actually sometimes make 2 or 3 just because I like the taste as an afternoon snack. I can definitely tell an immediate energy boost within minutes of drinking the shakes. What is great is that the effect is not a jittery, amphetamine-like boost that one would usually get from energy drinks and coffee; it is instead an "overall" energy boost and general absence of lethargy that allows you to continue about your day like usual without feeling the need for a nap or an espresso shot. Moreover, if it is not a placebo effect, I also feel like it slightly enhances my mental clarity. Besides the energy boost and great taste, it obviously feels good to know you're getting all those nutrients and superfoods in a small scoop. I am a big cacao fan so it's nice to have some extra cacao in the Chocolate Amazing Grass. Note that it is important to use Amazing Grass on an empty or light stomach so that all the nutrients are properly absorbed.Basically, if you're worried at all about flavor, I would suggest ordering the Chocolate grass and making a chocolate milkshake - maybe even consider adding a bit of organic chocolate syrup or chocolate flavored coconut ice cream. That way, you will not taste the Amazing Grass at all, which is why I like to add soy protein and cacao powder. When you open the lid, you can smell the rich chocolate flavor and it does not smell like grass at all, whereas the Berry smells and tastes a little like grass.For those wanting to lose weight, this stuff definitely curbs your appetite and almost makes it feel like you've actually eaten a small meal, especially when mixed with protein powder. Needless to say, it also cleans out your bowels very quickly each day. I have been using about 3/4 of a scoop each day because I weigh less than the average person, and I still get the great energy boosting benefits, so I expect mine to last a little longer than the estimated 60 servings. Compared to other superfood and holistic nutrient supplements, Amazing Grass is a relatively good value, especially from Amazon. I am very glad I found Amazing Grass and will continue to order it as my primary superfood nutrient source.

The media could not be loaded. I'm very impressed with the ingredients, wow!This blend is super loaded with vegetables and fruits. I got it solely on the fact this blend had several fruits in it. I also was glad to see no kale added although it's healthy I really don't like the taste. This blend has a very earthy smell and taste. The fruit takes the earthy taste down a bit once you blend it. It blends up fairly quickly, I gave it a couple extra blasts with my bullet blender to get it well mixed in. I added fruit the second time I made it to try and get it to be even fruitier tasting. The half banana and pieces of mango got it to a flavor I liked better. I have not been a greens drink person in the past so this is a first go around. I think it will take awhile to get used to the concentrated blend of veggies as this blend is super loaded, so you really are getting your monies worth. The size of the container should hold the 60 servings. Overall a really good quality blend!

FLAVOR: no, just move along. if you're worried about flavor any brand of greens powder/supplement is not for you. yes this one is 'berry' flavored, but it's still berry flavored grass. mix with juice or in a smoothie and you're good to go. if you're hardcore you can mix it with water, but you're drining powdered greens so you know what you're getting into.QUALITY: the ingredients are plain to see on the side, and as long as the label isn't lying it's all natural and good stuff. the powder "feels" like quality, if that makes any sense. it doesn't taste like sugar like some of these powders, but has a touch of earthy sweetness - this to say if you're brave enough to taste just the powder you can actually discern some of the ingredients. i'm no nutritionist, but that seems like a big bonus to me.BENEFITS: i'm not a doctor, but more veggies/greens are good for you. you already know this. this is a touch more in a powder. it also has probiotics which helps your digestions - we both know what that means too.VALUE: you can, of course, just compare with other similar brands. some are more, some are less - some are bigger/smaller, etc. just my own research, but comparing them, for the money "amazing grass" is going to be at the top.

Very palatable just mixed with water. Nice to know I’m getting a couple servings of greens like this
