Mask details
the original Halloween (1978), this Michael Myers mask from Trick or Treat Studios is great when i unboxed it, I was blown away by the level of detail and accuracy. It’s officially licensed and sculpted by Justin Mabry, based on the original mask worn by Nick Castle

Face could smell like a gum after using.
Good quality, looks perfect even if you put it on the shelf... good stuff to play with kids.

The gamble paid off
I’m certain like many of you, I also heard the horror stories about this seller and others while also spending countless hours searching both Amazon and eBay for a reliable description. This mask is shockingly hard to find reliably online, so I took a gamble with Trick or Treat Studios and I’d say it paid off for me. It looks exactly like the 1978 mask, except for the hair. The hair is a bit too “neat” than depicted in the stock photo. However it’s worth remembering that when filming the original movie, the filmmakers had to ruffle up the hair manually, which is what I ended up doing. The rest of the mask is pretty spot on.Also our memories of that original mask are often obscured by the incredible lighting department of the filmmakers (and the positive emotions created because of it). In the end, this gets the job done really well and doesn’t at all look like those crazy cheap knockoff masks. For such a simple design, even Hollywood couldn’t replicate the look of that original mask for practically all of the Halloween sequels. The only other film to have the original mask was Halloween II, and the reason it looks different is because the person wearing it wasn’t the same as in the original film.If indecision is killing you (like it was for me), just go with ToTS’s mask here. It’s a gamble but you have better odds with this than the other sellers in my opinion.

Good for building an accurate cosplay.
It's probably the best mask for a foundation of making a good cosplay. It is not perfect out of the box. After watching a few videos on YouTube with the original creator / designer I followed his advice to modify it. I had to adjust the hairline by folding the hair forward, gluing it and then brushing it back. I also had to use thin thin thin coats of watered down black paint to make it look a little "dirty" and fill in some of the lines to add better definition. In the films they use a lot of lighting angles to get the definition so the mask in real life needs a little TLC but it turned out pretty great. The hair on the mask could be filled in a little better. There isn't much to work with. I used black grease paint with a little corn starch mixed in to take down the reflective sheen of it.

Took a bit to get delivered but this mask is great!!
The 1 you are getting is the one I'm wearing (top) while posing with my nephew. The quality is about a 8 out of 10. The hair will fall out easily but you can glue it back in place if necessary. MANY people complimented the way it looks compared to the original Halloween film (1978). All I need for next year is a better (fake) knife and I'll be 100% happy. I recommend this one...

Movie Accurate Mask!
The mask looks awesome and very accurate to the movie. It’s comfortable to wear and fits good, but it does have a weird smell to it. Somewhat difficult to breathe. The hair is sticking out weirdly, but combing and adjustments should fix it. I also wore a black spandex mask under the mask to darken out the eyes. It works quite well and makes it look scarier! Overall, 9/10 mask.

Good mold! (Hair and paint can vary)
Honestly the mask mold was great. The only issues I had which may vary, would be the paint and hair job. Blue was used as the base paint before painting white (base color is more skin colored in movie), and the hair was cut in such a way that making it look full and correct will be difficult. The fit is loose, but that's definitely how it's supposed to be. If you're looking for a tighter fitting mask go with the Halloween 4 poster mask, it will likely need re-painted though.
