Light weight
I have a travel Zeagle 15 years old. I wanted a new one. This one caught my eyes. This one is made very good. Has excellent places for rings, a spot for a knife, two back straps for the tank, 2 weight bags in the back all the bells and whistles I like for a BC. Looks great. Bought a size large due to my other one being a M/L size but this one was just a bit to small for me to feel comfortable. Other than that it is a great buy. I returned it with the possibility of buying an XL .

Nice Back inflate BCD. Very light.
I really like this BCD but I don’t love it. I am a Master Diver with 25 years experience but have always used a jacket style BCD. I have wanted a back inflate and did a lot of research before I bought this. It did feel very free when diving. Operates perfectly. Inflator hose was great. I did find it a little difficult to install on a tank because it had two straps. It always would end up twisted. Also the weight pockets were a little odd how they fit in the zippered space. But not bad. It does have trim pockets, which others don’t have in the lightweight BC category. But again these trim pockets make it harder to put on tank. I found at depth it would not empty well unless I was in an upright position. Fine when you are ascending but if you are just at depth and horizontal and want to drop a bit of air you have to rotate your body to drop air. Bottom line I like this BCD. I dont love it. It dives very well. It’s light and very well made. Plenty of D rings and these nylon loops on the cumbersome to snap items.

BEST TRAVEL BC
I just returned from 4 weeks in the Solomons and PNG using my new Covert XT. For the last 6 years my travel BC has been the original Zeagle Covert, but it was time for a new travel BC, so I researched the competitors, looking at weight, cost, functionality, etc., and the winner was the Covert XT. The "regular / original" Covert is still being sold, but the "XT" has additional features such as tank strap mounted trim weight pockets (5 pounds capacity for each pocket) in addition to the integrated front weight pockets (7 pounds capacity each). so if your a cold-water diver this BC can accommodate 24 lbs of weight to offset that thick wetsuit! The XT has a reinforced MOLLE system which includes accessory attachment points that are constructed with reinforced stitching, much better than the regular Covert as there are more attachment points for dive accessories, such as dive knives. My old Covert was comfortable, but this new XT is even more so because of the additional open cell foam padding on the shoulder straps and on the lumbar areas. The fit is snug so I can easily control my dive attitude (trim). The XT weighs only 5 pounds, a little more than the standard Covert, but the extra features, better comfort and durability make the XT your best choice. Lastly, Zeagle dive equipment is made in the USA, and unlike many manufacturers that label products produced by offshore factories, Zeagle designs and manufactures almost every component of their products in their own factory located in Florida. So, the Covert XT is my winner and you're supporting the US economy by buying a Zeagle!

Problem solved. Problem staying solved.
I looked at all of the "minimalist" BCs, searching for the perfect travel kit. It has a cool tactical look and is easy to pack in a carry-on bag. The Covert XT isn't as stripped down as the Aqua Lung Outlaw, but it's definitely a better design overall. I wish the weight pouches were attached with molle loops (instead of being sewn on) to give this BC a full modular design. I think I found the perfect travel BC.

Fits good, works good
This BC is fantastic! Very lightweight which was my primary focus. Size seems to be truer than the original covert as well. Feels rugged, easier to get on and off tank. No complaints.

New lightweight BC has me traveling lighter
Got this BCD to travel with since my primary one is over 10 pounds. This one weighs in at 4.9 pounds and without the stiff plastic back plate, almost rolls up into my carry on luggage. I can now avoid a checked bag for a tropical trip. It was an adjustment getting used to the feel of this and my first several dives felt off balance, and uncomfortable. I was on a three week dive trip around Mexico and on day three thought I had mad a mistake with this purchase. But I worked out the feel and adjustments and for the rest of the trip fell in love with this BCD. Now it is packed and ready for the next adventure.

Good travel BCD
This BCD weighs less than 5lb but has many more features than other travel BCDs(double tank straps, Drings, etc). IT folds nicely in compact form. It's rugged enough for regular local diving or wreck diving.
