OXO, Good Grips Storage Container, White, 1.6 Quart

We've truly enjoyed using the OXO Good Grips GreenSaver Produce Keeper for storing our lettuce. The size fits perfectly in a refrigerator corner, and it really extends freshness. After washing our lettuce with a little white vinegar and spinning it dry, we store it in the keeper with a paper towel between the basket and container to absorb extra moisture. This setup keeps our greens crisp and ready for sandwiches and salads all week long. A simple, effective solution we now can’t do without!

These really do live up to the reviews! I have been using these for three weeks now and can see a significant reduction in the amount of berries I used to throw out, as they would get mushy and develop fungus in their original plastic cases.

The cover doesn't seal or securely stay on the container. Usually covers fit snug and you can easily carry it with one hand without worrying.This cover, even though it is on properly, will flip open if you handle it by the edge of the lid. Several times the lid/cover flipped up and the whole thing, container, cover and lettuce shot out of my hand onto the kitchen floor. I now use both hands and I actively hold it to secure the cover.The container works great. I love how Iit collects more moisture into the bottom and I can empty it as wanted. The vegetable don't get all wet, nasty or brown as quickly as they do in the original container/bag. It stays fresh for a long time. Usually Romain leaves are tough to keep crispy for a week (for work) and sometimes I won't get my salad because it got brown or soft.It fits 2 heads of romaine lettuce. (I use a lettuce spinner) nicely.This change the way I store vegetables in my refrigerator. Now I always use these types of containers for berries and loose vegetables. Strawberries, blueberries and lettuce seem to benefit the most.This is a rectangle container with a non locking lid that has a compartment for a moisture eliminating packet. The middle of the lid has a chart for ventilation. Theres a slider to add more air circulation or to close it off.I bought my mom one after using mine for a while. I give four stars because if the cover popping off

This is wonderful for keeping all sorts of herbs fresh. Doesn't take up too much space in the frig.

Wife loves it and uses it for her freshly pick herbs or from store purchased herbs.

I love this for watermelon but it would be so much better if the lid Snapped on

It's not like OXO to design a product with poor usability, but I can't wrap my head around this one. The lid simply does not attach to the container. Perhaps there's some reason for this... maybe to help with the freshness or the absorption packet, but it just isn't very practical.Our refrigerator is plenty chaotic and the last thing I need is a box of blueberries tipping over and spilling all over the place. This container and the gas absorption tech is probably great at keeping produce fresh, but I really just can't use it because of the non-closing lid.I've returned it and I'll just go with a standard container+basket with a lid that actually locks. I'll miss out on the freshness tech that OXO is probably better with, but at least the lid will stay put!
