Anchor Hocking Stackable Jar w/Glass Lid, 1.5-Quart

I can recommend this jar for good design, it is all made out of glass except the gasket but whatever you put inside this jar, it is isolated, specially food. Food will be just in contact with the glass only, and glass is of high grade material to avoid contamination or degrading.About the gasket, it is placed in a way that keep very well the isolation from the outside environment and will never touch what its inside the jarYes it is heavy, specially if you have to clean it with some frequency or its going to be placed in a higher level than your counter. I don't know if the manufacturer can make it lighter.But definitely I recommend this jar for food, like nuts etc.

Hefty , heavyweight glass of very high quality, adding to the aesthetics of every kitchen. At the same time, these containers are utilitarian and versatile. Love them and own a complete set.

I have used the larger size for years but just found this size. There need to be some kind of grip on the bottom because they do tend to slip off.I found that if I put a large rubber band around the jar vertically so it runs across the top the jar on top does not seem as slippery.

I needed good jars to store bulk tea, and these are exactly what I wanted.The jars seem to have good thick glass, and the lids are tight. The insides need washing because there's a slight plastic odor.

Works well holding box of cream of wheat, etc. Stack securely as well

These were a bridal gift, not the exact ones she registered, but she loved them! I filled each one with the couples favorite candy!

These jars are substantial and seal easily and well. However, I never stopped to consider that the top entry was smaller than I am used to. Getting something in to save is no problem, but getting leftovers out is harder, especially if they solidify as they get cold. You will have to spoon out what you want and usually you will have to hold the jar as you do so. It's a bit of a challenge. If what you have saved is pourable, then no problem. That said, I'd still recommend them as a quality product made in the USA and not plastic.

I ordered 3 of these jars. They were larger than expected. Air tight and excellent for storing spices and the lids were easy to open & closeThey arrived promptly & well packaged.I accidently smashed a lid and emailed the company for a paid replacement lid. They emailed back and offered to replace the lid for free no costs. They responded to my emails promptly and i will definitely order more in the future if I need more storage jars.

Der Deckel des Glases sitzt nicht sehr fest, das heißt, man sollte den Behälter niemals oben am Deckel festhalten, denn dann rutscht das Glas heraus. Außerdem ist das Glas etwas kipplig und steht nicht eben. Ansonsten sieht dieses Vorratsglas gut aus und ist durch die eckige Form platzsparend unterzubringen.

I love these jars and have since ordered more. The airtight seal is precision, which is very important to the items I keep in them. I have used these jars to keep my dehydrated foods in, crackers and cookies etc: so any leak would mean my items would loose their crunch. They are decorative as well as functional, another bonus is they stack. No complaints on delivery times or packaging however product itself was slightly disappointing. The seal inside the lid is a poor fit and feels quite loose. Therefore wouldn't trust the jar to be air-tight. Probably OK for pasta or similar but not for anything that needs to be kept fresh.

Used these for years as room saving stackable, air tight and you can see what you're got.Made in USA which i like because, well, not much is any more.
