I don't think he will be disappointed. This kitten is soft plush, the color is a beautiful golden/orange variegated tabby color and my large woman's hand fits in it snugly. My boyfriend's larger hand just fit but it didn't come to his wrist, it was a little short for his big hand. It is well made (I do alot of sewing) and the face is cute with clear whiskers. The mouth can be moved by putting your middle finger in the lower lip. The index and ring fingers can go in the fore-paws and the thumb and pinky fingers fit in the back paws. That way you can animate the kitten and make it seem like it is walking and talking. The body is a plush fur-like fabric and the pads of the paws and the ears are a smoother plush fabric.The plastic eyes are solid (not flimsy) and are golden with a large oval black center. The nose is a soft very lightly fuzzy fabric, firmly packed, with matching brown stitches going from the bottom center of the nose to the mouth. The tongue is the same soft fuzzy-like fabric in a pinkish brown and is softly stiffened (makes it easy to move the mouth). The kitten is lightly stuffed and fully lined with a soft creamy orange colored fabric. There is elastic encased at the base of the belly to help keep the kitten placed snugly at the wrist.The tail is curved upward and firmly stuffed.
