Does this spin the shaft that otherise has gear on or does it spin the spindle its self directly from the motor ?

One pulley in the kit connects to the motor and the other connects to the spindle so the belt is turning from the motor to the spindle directly, overriding the transmission gears (which can either be removed or left in neutral).

The belt it comes with is a Gates Truflex 2L130 v belt (size 0130 in more generic sizing systems)

Does it fit Eastwood 32489 mini mill?

Are you sure you don't mean an Eastwood 32498? I'm not finding a ....89? This will fit an Eastwood 32498 Mini Mill and that model is listed in our compatibility chart included in the photos for this product. If you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to reach out 1-800-981-9663

will this work on Grizzley G0781?

NO. Unfortunately the motor cover Grizzly included on this model is different from other models which are compatible (G8689, G0516) and we cannot guarantee a good fit. This kit replaces that top plate on a mill, and the motor cover would then need to mount on the conversion kit, but it wasn't designed to do this. We've heard, that it will work if you leave the motor cover off, but have not confirmed ourselves, and leaving cover off doesn't seem ideal compromise.

Works great

My plastic gears broke when I first used my end mill. I ordered this kit and it was easy to install. It is way quieter and worked better than the gears. Not sure why one review said it wobbled as I had no problems.

Amazing conversion kit...For the Sieg X2D mini mill sold under many different names

Fit and finish is great. Paid $159.95 plus tax and shipping. Few things in life are a no brainer - this is one of them. Buying this accessory is essential for running the Sieg X2D mini mill which is sold under many different names. The pulleys and plates appear to be CNC'd. Think of the cost of buying the raw materials, parts, the machine time etc and the time to figure out the dimensions etc to make this kit ; the $159 is a true bargain. This kit expands upon the available speeds of the mill and reduces sound and eliminates the need to replace the original weak and easy to break plastic speed gears. Arrived double packed box within a box. The seller Little Machine Shop is great! LMS included printed paper instructions too. Highly recommend Little Machine Shop!

Best minimill upgrade

This is high quality. Precise fit and easy install. Highly recommend this upgrade from the start because you will eventually have to do it anyway, due to the plastic gears that will strip out with use.

Quiet !!!

An absolute necessity. The mill is a joy to be close to. Installation is straight forward. My only issue on my machine , CX605 from Busy Bee Tools , was the metal cover over the fine feed shaft. The cover interfered with the spindle lock and prevented the base plate from seating squarely on the head. Not an issue because a new cover is a breeze to fabricate. I am very pleased with the kit. It was complete and I found the finish of the parts very good. More than happy. Many thanks LMS. Carl
