This helmet is great and durable. The screen is large and clear. The color and design is nice and detailed. The fitment is easy and comfortable. The stability is great it does not move or sag. The heat does not both this helmet. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap quality helmet.

Never had a self darkening helmut,seems to work well for the price

Great value! I’ve used this a fee times with my TIG welder at around 130A and had no issue with the level of protection. The darkening feels instantaneous, and the viewing window size is perfectly fine. I like the test button inside the mask to let you make sure darkening works before starting the arc.The material is a flexible plastic, which feels pretty durable. Ive been using it in my garage in the winter in upstate NY, and expected the plastic to get more brittle or fragile from the cold, but it hasnt. It feels reasonably durable, but the hinges are made of a hard plastic that feels like theyll be the first thing to break.The size of the helmet and head band is great. It’s very adjustable, and ive worn it on my bare head (hat size medium) and with a thick winter hat on (extra in diameter) with no trouble.The only sticking point is when you raise the mask, the hinges lock lightly in place to keep it open, but are a little weak. The mask tends to fall down if you move your head too much. Maybe i need to tighten the hinges or something, but that’s my only real complaint. For $40, it’s hard to beat the value.

Absolutely amazing helmet for the beginner/home welder, the auto darkening works very well, I love the design on the side, it’s very durable and the size fits my big head wonderfully , the adjustment keep the lens in front of your face perfect

So far so good! Feels great in terms of fit on the head. Swing open and close action is decent.Using it while TIG welding aluminum at the moment.

This welding & grinding face shield is high quality, well made, easily adjusted for head fit comfort, and comes with extra battery and both lens protection plastic covers.It was packed well and arrived next day. I decided to reuse the heavy plastic bag it came in to keep it dust free while stored on my welding cart.I’m impressed with how well it works. It quickly darkens, and the recovery time for it to go clear again has plenty of adjustment. I’ve got mine set at the fast side, so I can quickly assess the weld I just made. Shade darkness is easily set with your left had, and the knob is on the outside. The viewing area is small compared to the full face or the new panoramic style, but more than adequate. The shade control also can lock the shade to clear for grinding. Very slick, although I probably won’t use it for grinding.I’ve already used it to TIG weld a project I was working on, and did some 308 SS stick welds with it on another project. I was able to go from stick to TIG with a simple twist of the external darkness knob. Before darkening to weld, viewing is clear and natural looking.You can’t beat this welding shield for the price, and it even allows me to use my respirator with plenty of room between it and the face shield.The only complaint I had was the button battery used to power the shade was dead when it arrived. When I hit the shade test button nothing happened. I figured I would have to send the helmet back, but when I took the cover off the battery I found it incorrectly installed. The battery had draining completely do to this mistake, but I already had a spare supplied with my purchase. A quick swap out (with correct insertion), and it worked perfectly;-).

This helmet looks and fits nice but it dousnt doo good for tig welding. I am lurning to tig stainless probably 75%+ of what ill be welding at work and I kept getting flashed so I thought it was me. My boss also tryed it and had the same outcome. We tryed adjusting for a wile finaly I grabbed my bosses hood and got it done. We belive the problem it it only has 2 sensors were his has 4. Im sure it'll work great for burning sticks just not for tig.
