So worth it!!

I bought this for $30 on Amazon a few years back, along with several other Halston scents, all made by EA fragrances. Now it’s $300, so I left the “value” part of this review blank for obvious reasons-it’s basically priceless, and the value is determined by the consumer...in any case the bright orange liquid is EXTREMELY potent. I got 10+ hours on my skin, and it evolved nicely. When I first bought it I thought to myself “damn this is strong” but every time I put it on I am reminded what cologne is supposed to be. It indeed has the Halston vibe, where one senses that it could nicely cover up the stink of a weekend long bender, cigarettes, sex and sleeping in your clothes. If I woke up in a gutter, this is what I would use to “do the job.” Perhaps this is my only uncorrupted Harry Fremont scent...this is KFC the way the Colonel originally intended. The only scent that comes close to this in my collection is Xeryus LPM by Givenchy, yet this doesn’t nauseate when sprayed at the same power levels. I pity the fool what didn’t buy a bottle of this when it was in reach. If you should run across this in someone’s timeshare medicine cabinet, do not hesitate to try it out.

This scent is so hard to describe! Clean but with a spicy undertone. It isn't heavy in any way and leaves you still sniffing and wondering what it is that keeps you so entranced. Its such a wonderful balance!

Best cologne ever. Was so afraid this was going to be permanently discontinued. Great price, too! At one time this cologne was at least three times the cost and I couldn't tell you why it was so expensive. I've been wearing this cologne for a little over 10 years now and the smell is always exactly the same - truly high quality. One spray lasts all day on me, and it is pretty stout so one spray is all you really need which makes the bottle last forever. It's perfect.

My husband loves this fragrance and he has been having difficulty locating it in our town. I got it for him for Christmas and he has been very excited. The product was flawless and received as promised. The shipping was projected for after Christmas but it was received on Christmas eve. Thank you so much..

I've been using various different colognes for a while now, having a difficult time finding one that I was happy with, that I could find regularly, and that fit within my budget. Catalyst by Halston for Men seems to be the end product that I was looking for; at least for the spring and summer times. The scent its self is very light; as in that it isn't overpowering or heavy like a winter cologne would be. Its crisp, and enters the nostrils easily leaving a pleasant feeling. From what I can tell it has accents of citrus to it, and really creates an invitation to get closer. It sticks with you, but not in a bad way, and accents with an already clean feeling. It seems to last for a long while too, having had worn it most of the day I could still catch drifts of the scent every once in a while. The cologne its self can either stand alone by its self, or help to promote other scents you are wearing. I'd recommend to couple it with something that has either cedar or sandalwood to it. The only fault I can see with it is the bottle design its self. It's oddly shaped, and can be hard to hold in your hand while applying; especially if you keep it in your bathroom and it gets covered in steam after taking a shower. Other than that, the product is extremely nice and within a great price range to make it an every day cologne with out breaking the bank.

I first purchased this for my husband about 10yrs ago. It was a boxed combo set of the cologne & aftershave. Catalyst is such an interesting blend of spices. Have never experienced anything quite like it. My husband loves it & is always being asked by other fellas "what is that cologne"?? & of course where can it be purchased. He tells them to check Amazon. Plus.....the price is so affordable I try to always keep a couple extra put away.
