BelGioioso, Fresh Mozzarella, Sliced, 16 oz

The cheese itself usually has a very good flavor, even if it is a bit on the salty side. I like that this cheese has a fantastic texture and always seems fresh. Since it is always high quality, it is a great value, especially since it is on sale regularly. I have also found that out of all the fresh mozzarella I have purchased, this melts the best and does the best job making homemade pizza in our pizza oven!

Fresh Mozzarela should always be a bit wet in it's own milk...as a snack with a few tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil dripped onto a plate and 4 good shakes of Pink Himalayan Salt, This is the ultimate luxury snack that satisfies hunger without causing a glucose spike...with a few thin slices of Fresh tomato it's like biting into the Italian Summer Sun. Bottom Line: Absolutely Delicious, Would recommend this Sliced version time and again, it should be moist in its own milk so if it isn't it's past it's prime which isn't the same as use by date or sell by date as it wouldn't cause any problems just wont be as it should be experienced so make sure it's very moist when you open it with drops of white milk water in the packaging. My family loves to add these slices to the top of our favorite frozen pizzas before baking. The pre-sliced, scrumptious mozzarella is a great way to spruce up a meal!

Expensive but I like that it's pre-sliced. I think the non-sliced might be slightly softer, but this is good enough for me -it's still quite soft. I saw a couple of reviews saying it was dry or rubbery -total lie. When you open the package their is a small amount of liquid in it. No way that would change depending on location or Amazon place or even by batch. This is a quality brand and I've ordered it for years in different parts of the country and it's always exactly the same. I don't find it all rubbery either, although I could see how that is a subjective thing. Each slice approximates one ounce. So, I like that I can just grab 2-4 slices and I know it equals 2-4 ounces. Maybe the end pieces have slightly less but I think there are 16 slices in a pound log, so unless you are a lunatic that feels the need to weigh every thing you eat (been there and done that in my youth... please stop that nonsense as it's approximating mental illness to be that obsessive with diet for health and/or weight loss), just go by an ounce per slice. It tastes delicious. Great just to eat with nothing else, but of course you can add it to so many things. Mozzarella has less sodium than most other cheeses (goat cheese is another great option). One ounce/slice has 85mg.

I love this, it's probably one of the best, however fresh mozzarella is usually creamy which it is in the middle. However even though this particular brand is creamy in the middle the outside of it tastes like regular mozzarella.

Always buy this to top pastas or caprese sandwiches
