A ton of fun for small and big kids!
I saw this on one of the Amazon daily deals for Christmas and, since my 3 year old is fascinated with anything with wheels, I thought I would give it a whirl. I am so glad I did! This thing is awesome! At the price I paid we really got our money worth. At full price I would probably hesitate a bit though. But, this toy has provided hours and hours of fun and our son absolutely loves it! We had it put together and going when he came down stairs and it was very difficult to get him away from it to open any other presents. For full disclosure, there are NO instructions included at all. So you either use the picture and build what they have as a guide or get creative and come up with your own design. Even with no instructions, building the pictured design only took about 20 minutes, so I don't consider that a big deal. The biggest issue I had was the bridge section. The pieces for the bridge to not stay connected for very long and after a few laps they will fall apart. I'll make a connector for the pieces at some point to hold it snug, but until then I just moved the tunnel over and use it instead. Also, it does take a little bit of tweaking to get the cars to stay on good, especially if the cars have fresh batteries, those little cars are fast. Just don't make the turns too sharp and you will be fine. Or use rechargeable batteries, those don't seem to discharge as much regular batteries and the cars run at a better pace. One place that seemed to result in the most unintentional carnage was at the top of the elevator when the cars launch out. There is a brace under the section coming out of the elevator, I simply put something about a 1\4" thick under one of the feet to slope the road a bit and no more problems. In my opinion, if you can get this for a good deal, go for it! You will not regret it! I love playing with it as much as my son does.

I wanted to love this track- now I do
Update: they have a warranty replacement and honored it. I am getting new cars sent to me. Yay! I’ll update it the new ones have the same issues, but the company was very responsive and sent out the replacement quickly! This track is pretty awesome. The lift is really cool, and my kids really liked it. That being said, reason for the 1 star review.. all 3 Jeeps that came with the track stopped working after 2 days. We have a couple of different brands of this type of track, and this is the first time the cars have stopped working this way. Great concept, the vehicles just need to be better quality. Will be returning unfortunately.

Entertaining and sturdy!
I was looking for a unique gift for my boys to share for Christmas and came across this delightful track set completely by accident. I'm very glad I did! If you want to use all the pieces, there's not too many ways you can set it up, but you can mix and match the sets and everything fits together without a hitch, and it's very durable! The cars come with batteries, which is GREAT for opening up a package and letting the kids play while you put the track together. As they get older, I think the track will grow with them, as they can customize it how they like and have fun coming up with new designs with the individual track pieces. If you're looking at this product and thinking, "gosh, do I really want to have to put all those individually clicking and interlocking pieces together?" it really isn't as daunting as it seems. The package comes with them clipped together in strings of 12 or so pieces, with 3 of each color present in each section, and it makes first-time set-up a breeze. Even with the unpackaging and sticker-sticking for the accessories, we got the whole track up and running in less than 20 minutes. The only reason this track set didn't get the full 5 stars is that the cars are either off or on. My boys LOVE that they stay on (and the red one even lights up!), but this momma misses having a sleep setting if they've been running into a wall for five minutes without anyone noticing. That being said, they are more gentle on batteries than you might think, and the fact that they don't require remote controls is a huge plus in this house.

This toy is a lot of fun (for me and my kids)
This toy is a lot of fun (for me and my kids). Elevator for trucks is so cool. If ur kids touch the car/truck as it goes in elevator, whole thing has to be readjusted tho. Had since xmas. Trucks that come with track are great. Fast too. I bought additional cars for this track (maybe different brand?) The cars don't compare to the trucks that came with this trackind bc car battery cover on bottom falls off and cars are slow.. Also, just a side note here: I thought I bought another track that was same brand with cop cars (142 piece deluxe police series something..I don't think it is a super snap Speedway product). Those cop cars were really cool because you press siren on top to turn car on and off plus lights flash, but those cop cars don't work with this track's elevator just FYI. In sum, great toy.

Lovely set, I am buying at least one more
I bought it despite some critical reviews referring to this set being too difficult for small kids, and was pleasantly surprised that its assembly does not really require putting all 300 pieces together. The tracks come in preassembled blocks which are very easy to snap together into a loop or line. The funniest part is the lift, which uses the car's running wheels to power the elevator bringing it to the upper level from which the car runs further on. My twin boys (about 4 y.o.) are totally thrilled with this set.A recommendation: use rechargeable batteries - this set is infinite fun, but no battery lasts forever.

Great toy, but not perfect.
My 3 and 5 year olds both enjoy playing with it, but they do need assistance to get it set up.As others have said, the cars can have a tendency to get hair wrapped around the axles which needs to be cleaned out.My kids broke the elevator the second day, which is the best part of the toy. It's a pretty cool toy though, and gives kids a lot of options for trying to figure out new track configs, etc. Ideal for girls and boys ages 3-6.I would buy it again.
