After reading the good and not so good reviews about the gloves I ...
I was looking for gloves to protect my fingers when using my mandolin. After reading the good and not so good reviews about the gloves I decide to give them a try. They work really really well for protecting my finger tips from the blade. Yes, if one tries to purposely cut into the gloves it will happen. Who will on purpose try to damage the glove while wearing them to protect ones hands. the thinking behind the idea of running a knife or screwdriver through the glove with force to see if it will tear is kind of stupid. What would not tear with force and determination. They fit like a glove, nice and snug so you have more feeling in the finger tips to know when your fingers are coming very close to the blade. Even if the gloves slides over the blade, which means that my fingers are not and that has a number of times I am not so worry that I will see red. I do not like wasting food, so now I do not waste any of the vegetables that in the past did not get sliced in my mandolin. I am still careful while wearing the gloves but I can slice what ever to the ever end of the nub. I think the gloves fit true to size but I have small hands and I like that the gloves fit snug, it allows for me the be able to feel objects and the blade before I am sorry and have cut the gloves. I bought a pair for my husband and 14 year old son to use in the workshop when using the table saw and any other blade equipment (band saw, scroll saw, grinder). It will not stop a serious accident I suspect but if it will lessen and even better yet prevent minors accidents then the gloves will have done what it claims. That is money well spent. Price of the gloves is nothing to a the cost of an emergency visit for a few stitches or shearing the finger tips off and dealing with the pain and inconvenience until it heals. These gloves are I think not meant to give you a sense of falls protection but a feeling of my hands are protected from minor carelessness. Buy these gloves and protect your hands. Have not used them on shucking oyster or anything else sharp but I sure they will serve its purpose. Did use it to pick up broken glass and was happy I did not get a piece of glass embedded in my finger. I think any one buying these gloves will not be sorry for the reasons of protecting theirfingers from danger.

Very Protective and Reasonably Priced
I bought these because I recently purchased a pro-sumer grade meat slicer. I'm not sure I'll wear them while operating the slicer but I certainly will every time I remove the blade for cleaning. They're comfortable and seem well made. Hopefully I'll never need to test their limits for hand protection but they're rated as 5 times more cut resistant than leather. And, they were inexpensive, especially when compared with a visit to the ER 😄

These work! Good value for your $$
Nice gloves. I bought these for my daughter as she was learning to cook with us in the kitchen. This glove gave her and me a great piece of mind. The gloves have a very nice cut rating and can (and should) be cleaned after usage. Very happy with the gloves. They have provided the cut protection we wanted. The gloves have been very durable the last 7 months with multiple uses and washes. No reoccurring smell after usage and wash. Very happy with the product.

Durability of 10 months max, but protection quality long term
I wore them successfully for a long time, and then they started to smell like rotten fish after washing vegetables once. So, they do great for about 8 months-10month. Protection is 💯 perfect in my experience. Just a pain to clean when they're wore out.

These were so good that we replaced them with the exact same ones when the first pair wore out.
These gloves are great and protect your hands when using sharp objects in the kitchen. These are replacements when the tips of the fingers were starting to fray from use. The last ones we had lasted about three years so they have a good durability. The size is a true fit and there are two in a package. The gloves fit snug to your hand and do not slip while using them. We like them or we would not have gotten the same kind as a replacement.

Definitely works, definitely small fit
I am not a women and these gloves do not fit me very well. They do, however, prevent me from slicing my hand to bits against the sharp as hell mandolin I just bought. They are also clothes washer safe, which is necessary when they turn purple or orange from vegetables.

Ok Gloves but Nothing Special
The gloves are fine but they are really no different than any other medium duty cloth gloves you can get anywhere. I was expecting something to be weaved into them to make them more blade resistant. So they are as cut resistant as any other work gloves you have. Also, unless you are planning to wash them after every use, you have to wear something over them to keep them dry. I use food grade plastic gloves over them.
