NOT a Mrs Fix it, but so easy I could do it !
Not a HUGE car girly -I would post pictures but I forgot to do before and after -My daughter’s little BMW had a small ding and was beginning to crack up and down. So purchased this rather than 165 dollars for them to fixHonestly- super easy - even your everyday call my dad when there is a car problem girl can do it.The mechanism did have some trouble sticking where the ding and crack was - but was able to manipulate itInstructions were easyNot super time consumingDid not have to do the “crack” instructions because product I put in the device filled it right up -Cured quick -Excess was easy to remove with the razor that came with it.And crack and ding isn’t even there anymore (not that I can see)Definitely do it when the sun is out because it cures in direct sunlight.I recommend this product and ordered another one to do my husbands truck for fun :)Definitely worth the money.

Affordable DIY Solution for Minor Windshield Damage ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Rain-X 600001 Windshield Repair Kit offers a quick and easy DIY solution for addressing small chips and cracks in your vehicle's windshield. It's designed to be a cost-effective alternative to professional repair services for specific types of minor damage. 🚗🛠️This kit uses a durable resin-based formula that aims to minimize the appearance of chips and cracks and, more importantly, prevent them from spreading further. The product description specifies its effectiveness for round damage (bulls-eyes, star damage) below 1 inch in diameter and cracks smaller than 12 inches in length. The key benefits are its affordability and convenience. Being able to perform the repair yourself can save you time and money. The process typically involves cleaning the damaged area, applying the resin, and allowing it to cure (often with the help of sunlight). However, the success of DIY windshield repair kits can depend on several factors, including the type and age of the damage, the user's ability to follow the instructions precisely, and environmental conditions during application. For more complex damage, or if the damage is directly in the driver's line of sight, professional repair or replacement is often still the best course of action. For small, simple chips and cracks that fall within the specified limits, the Rain-X kit can be a very effective tool to improve the cosmetic appearance and, crucially, stop the damage from worsening. It's a handy kit to have on hand for those unfortunate stone chips. 👍

Rainex. Windshield Crack fixing epoxy kit excellent.
This product is amazing. And I think it is like one of the cheapest. I trusted the name Raines which I believe is a trusted Rustoleum product. The intial crack was a minute highway rock hit right in the middle drivers side right by the pillar. Couldn’t even see it. Within the hour it had spread 3-4 inches. I ordered the product immediately. By the time I got home it was Atleast 6-7 inches. Luckily they the Miracle of Amazon it was delivered by the next morning. Followed the directions and bam. That was the end of the crack. It didn’t make it dissapear like maybe the instructions infer but toned it down and most importantly stopped the crack travel. Didn’t have to use the special sophisticated “bullet hole” crack fixer tool that comes with it. ONLY “complaint”/recommendation..:it comes with a single edge razor blade for scraping off the dried excess. It’s hard to hold and get any leverage. For $2 I bought a single edge razor scraper/holder. That should come with it. Maybe even make that “special bullet hole” fixer device optional if you only have a crack and not the more severe bullet/divot damage. All in all. Excellent product and result. It’s been a week and it hasn’t budged.

Skip this and get the Permatex
I was dealing with a small rock impact and a crack that was about 1/4" in diameter. #1 priority was to fill the crack so it would not propagate. #2 priority was to conceal the chip. This product solved #1 but not great on #2. Ran through the resin pressure steps 3 times and applied heat to the backside but could not get all the air bubbles out no matter how many times I tried. From the outside, crack is pretty well conceal. From the insides it looks bad.If I had to do it again, I would go with the windshield repair kit from Permatex that pulls a vacuum.

Not perfect—but saved me from replacing the whole windshield
I used this kit to repair a small chip on the front windshield of my 2025 Camry. A rock hit it on the highway, and the dealership told me it couldn’t be fixed and suggested a full glass replacement. That felt like a waste for a brand-new car, so I found this tool on Amazon and gave it a try. The result is not perfect, but it definitely helped. The crack is still faintly visible, but it’s sealed and stable. For the price, it’s worth it—especially if you just want to keep using your original windshield.Tip: Fix it as soon as possible before the damage spreads.

Inexpensive and Does A Good Job!
I was skeptical about any quick repair for a star chip. I had just had a similar repair done in Butte, Montana by an independent company who did a great job for $79. Just after that, my windshield was hit again by a large pebble. I was traveling on a tight schedule so I waited until I got back to Maryland but couldn’t find a company that could do a quick and inexpensive repair. So I bought this RainX kit.It really works. Follow the instructions but here are two things that will make it easier:First, screw in the reservoir before you line the base over the center of your repair. Screw it in just far enough so that you can see it hitting the center of the damage and then depress the four suckers on the four legs of the base.Second, if at all possible have someone on the inside of the vehicle guide you through the placement process. It’s a royal pain in the @$$ to keep checking, moving, checking, moving and so on until it’s lined up.Then stay with the instructions. Do the repairs in the shade and let it cure in the sunlight. Use more than you think you need because it comes off very easily with the razor blade supplied. This kit will do several repairs so keep everything. My repair is as good as the one done in a shop.
