Great for Toms!
I purchased these to replace my very old bottom heads on all 4 of my toms. One size was out, so I only changed 3, but it left a good comparison of old to new.The new heads were easy to tune - I basically hand tightened the lugs after seating the head, then brought to a consistent tightness at all lugs. I spent most of my time tuning the new batter heads (I bought Evans Onyx coated two-ply heads) to my preferred sound. These are a bit dryer with a deeper tone I prefer.The three toms I replaced all sound great and a big improvement over the one I didn't change. I changed the batter head on all 4, so I know the resonant head is making a difference.I am very happy with the product.These heads are thin, as most resonant heads are - so be careful not to dent or damage them.
